So, you drop a ridiculous sum of money on a completely custom figure which you say you'll never sell and then turn around and create a tittybaby F/S thread begging for cash because you're broke despite being on umpteen more lists for overpriced custom figures. On top of that, you're expecting people to pay the ridiculous price you paid for a figure you said you'd never sell. This seems to be a cyclical habit here amongst a handful of custom snobs. Discuss. :lol

:exactly:

it's because they have to have it. They buy it out of pure impulse and then realize that they have bills due and they said ohh my god I just spent$ 900 dollars on an action figure

It needed to be said. :goodpost:

'Nam doesn't start many threads. But when he does, he makes sure they are destined to die a fast death.:lol

Are you trying to tell me you wouldn't drop $1200 of a custom Robert Deniro from Mean Streets????

I dunno about Nam and the rest of you guys but i think i would pay $1200 for this exquisite, mucilaginous & gooey custom! :D

To answer your query Nam it's a bit of mob mentality & owning a one of kind piece at all cost.

Doesn't sound much different than some folks are with Hot Toys figures, Sideshow statues, or anything else. Folks "have to have it," sometimes begging for an eternity. Then they get it, and the thrill is gone. On to the next thing. And of course the tendency for one to get over his/her head is also an issue, I'm sure.

:exactly: There are people on here who buy almost every hot toy figure sometimes in multiples and hot toys figures are the most common thing sold in the f/s section, I don't think it's fair to say only "custom junkies" do this.

I think that is the point nam is making...i might be wrong

To some extent, yes. But I'm talking 1/6 figures that are over $400+, not a $250 HT figure.

That's one of them. :lol You just see a bunch of lame-assed sob stories (or straight-up BS) in the F/S threads, "As much as it pains me to sell this, I really need the money... yadda... yadda... yadda" along with, "All I'm asking is what I paid [insert laughably ridiculously absurd amount of cash for a 12" doll]." Yet they're so hard up for cash, they're still on like 10-15 other lists for equally ridiculously priced custom figures... and they buy them! Then, wash, rinse, repeat. :lol

Thank you for clearing that up.

But what I meant was that I didn't know people were paying that much for these things, customized men dolls lol
