Just got a notice that my waitlist for the exclusive is being converted to an actual order! How awesome is that?

:chew

Me too! Got on the waitlist the same day pre-order went up. Although following the trend with Aragorn and Legolas, it might still be cheaper for me to pay $80 for this on eBay, than get it fromSideshow for $65... (FedEx and their brokerage fees :monkey4 )

Somehow Faramir loses his quality in a loincloth and cape--and frankly, that helmet seems pretty pointless lol. Was that a real movie? I've never heard of 300. Looks a little too violent for me, and I'm not a fan of half-naked men getting cut to pieces before my eyes. :rotfl I'll take a fully clothed figure any day, thank you.

Now let's hope the wait is not too long!!!

Augh! I came back from school and this thread was nearly at the bottom! Such things must not be!

Can I ask somebody going to ORC to please take lots of really good pictures of Faramir? I want to see how he's looking. Also, Dusty or somebody that knows, will the Faramir shown there be close to production? I'm just terrified of the possibility of it turning out less than Boromir in terms of quality and execution. I'm so impressed with Boromir that it would kill me if Faramir were any less superb! So can somebody take lots of pics for me to see?

Please?

Aldeggon, I can understand why you like Faramir so much: there is more good in him, than in his father and brother al together. Perhaps he has a lot of his mother in him. I don't remember, but was there something on his mother in the book?

Faramir's mother Finduilas, is only briefly mentioned as being very beautiful, and Faramir was indeed very close to her. She was from Dol Amroth, and Tolkien says she "withered in the guarded city, as a flower of the seaward vales upon a barren rock." Denethor "loved her, in his fashion, more dearly than any other, unless it were the elder of the sons that she bore him", and was also devastated by her death after being married only twelve years. This could well have led to his seclusion in the tower which eventually led him to dare use the Palantir.

I love the appendices, lol.

The box designer set himself on fire and jumped off the roof.

I'm sorry to report...Faramir has been cancelled. :monkey2
