That's a bold move Shai but as long as your happy who cares. :rock

I have myself thought about doing the same thing but I love SS's PFs too much to give them up.

Thanos is without a doubt one of my favorites. Just make sure you get a chrome SS to go with him. Two of my favorite pieces in my collection.

Who makes this Surfer? I like the base.

Bowen of course.

SS doesn't do Marvel pieces this good. :monkey5

Nash just make sure you get a mint one. This piece is notorious for having paint defects. It's been reported that the Thanos statues were placed in their boxes before the paint dried so a lot of them have defects.

i think you will regret this decision sooner or later.. I did something similar 1-2 years ago and go into bowen.. Regretted big time and end up searching and buying all the sideshow statues i have sold. Even end up paying more $$ when i bought them back.

i seriously hope you will not regret this in future or it is gonna hurt.. I have experienced it :sick

I highly recommend the Bowen Museum style Surfer's for any fan, they are incredible.

I'm lucky to have both painted and chromed(pictured) versions and they are signed and have a sketch on the base by RB which makes them even more special.:rock :rock
x :peace

I see a lot of posts saying I hope you don't regret it which I think is funny. Usually once something leaves my hands I never regret it unless it's a guitar or something. I have never re-purchased a single item I have sold because honestly once it's gone I never miss it enough. I may say I regret something but I still only keep buying newer things and I never look back.

Regret over collectibles is overrated. :lol

The only kind of regret I have over a collectible is NOT buying in when I had PLENTY of chances (Doom & Hulk PF) :banghead

I have a feeling Shai will rebuy the Sideshow Hulk.

I buy Sideshow Marvel's line in very limited numbers because they offer such a imited variety of characters. So far I've only bought PF Hulk, Iron Man comiquette (both R&G and Stealth) and Thor is on the way. I think I can afford the limited number that I have. I collect mostly Bowen because of the variety but even that is controlled by who I like. It's a real shame that people have this all or nothing attitude about collecting rather than being open to other companies that do a great job. Shai will be sorry he sold that PF Hulk.

Good choice Shai, go with what makes you happy.

As collectors, our spectrum of interests can change drastically and one thing that may be our top collecting item can be our priority selling item the next day. That's just the way it goes with this business especially because it is very expensive compared to other stuff.

My brother has gone through this several times. He's gone from G.I. Joe figures to Star Wars figures back to G.I. Joe to Sideshow Star Wars to Hot Toys stuff to Hot Toys Batman as well as Halo. I've seen his stuff change weekly.

:drool:drool:drool

Another thing that I like about Bowen, is that their sculpt are exactly like their comic counterparts...While Sideshow have extremely nice sculpts, sometimes their realistic approach to the medium doesnt fit the comic interpretation I'd like in a statue.
Both companies are awesome, but now Bowen is more what I'm into.... Of course, if Sideshow ever release a Thanos PF or a WWHulk on throne ....I wont be able to resist...:duh

I only wished Sideshow would release the variety that Bowen did but they won't so don't worry.
