I hate cops

So check this out. I live in Simi Valley, always in the top 5 for safest cities in the US and Two old ladies down the street from me recently had an adult woman knock on the door, walk right in to their homes and take stuff. Since these are older ladies, they couldn't really stop the person if they wanted to. We called the cops and they said that they will get around to investigating when they can. NOW, I just found out that cops right now, have a cop wearing a jacket and a backpack walking across one of the main street back and forth giving people tickets who don't stop to let her pass. WTF is this?????

So the cops are too busy to investigate real actual crimes, but they have time to put up sting operations and give people driving ticket. I called my local police station and told them this and told them that this is why people hate cops and they just hung up on me. Just had to vent a little bit.

It's that way around here in Northern Va too. Cops exist to generate revenue for their town, county or state these days. Crime investigation is something they will due from time to time though.

That is such bs man. I hate when things become about money. All meaning and purpose becomes lost.

I hate them too! At our college campus, you'd see cops everywhere handing out citations and raiding parties. But when it came to preventing actual crimes, like protecting students from getting mugged or beaten from native city kids, they were no where to be found, even after several calls.

A traffic cop is not the same as a cop who would investigate a crime like that. Just FYI.

Yes,you got it right.Cops are more here to take our money for phony ass reasons than to actually protect us.This is our shady Government.

We have gang problems and vandalism and shootings and stabbings, but I guess it's safer and more profitable to hide out around the corner and give kids tickets for riding their bikes on the wrong side of the street.

I should say that I do know some cops personally who work hard and want to make a difference, but situations like the one you mentioned are surely frustrating.
