Indy line was not the worst though...for little cash, you got a cool little 1/6th figure that talks....To be honest, it has the best quality voicebox i ever heard. Blows McFarlane and Neca talking figs out of the water

My only disagreement with the picks was with the best 1/6th figure selection. The Hot Toys "Dallas" figure should have taken the gold easily, with the "BR Joker" fighting for the silver against cannibal Jack Sparrow and SS's "Gandalf".

As amazing as the BR Joker is, Dallas was just more innovative. BR Joker's main plus was simply the new headsculpt. Give the BR Joker the headsculpt from the initial Joker release and it wouldn't have scored as highly with the collectors. Dallas had the excellent headsculpt and paint apps, the impressively detailed suit, helmet and gear, the amazing light-up features and cool base with the alien egg. BR Joker may have captured the character well but Dallas seemed to capture much more.

Aside from that, the rest of the picks were ok. ;)

Yep, I think Gandalf should have been in the top 3 - he's probably my #2 after Dallas. I have the same problem with BR Joker - the loose hair head should have been on the first Joker.

Ditto on BR joker. It just shows how powerful a locomotive the heath joker ledger TDK hype train is. Still. I can't even complain; making the first joker from hot toys better was the reason I joined this forum.

Overall id say a good call on the best and worst for last year.

I always check your reviews Michael, and it was seeing your site in the 1st place that started me collecting, so thanks m8y :banana

For PF I like Anakin, I don't have Thor. I do have Indy which I think is a great PF, but my paint apps are bad, making Indy looking Black. I enjoyed voting and enjoyed the results, nice read.

Best "build-a-figure" was Character Options Giant Robot from their Classic Dr.Who range in my opinion.
I wonder if Dallas suffered a little because Kane was such a disappointment in the sculpting stakes?Discuss...

Kind of surprised the new He-Man figures didn't get a nod... I'd rank them up with the NECA turtles.

Still a great read and just further proof that HT is really in their own league. Thanks for putting all together :duff

yah the he-man figs are awesome and would be my #1 i think. glad the 12'' master chief got a mention as well. great stuff as always michael!

I was hoping to have a review up last night of the first three MOTUC figures, but Skeletor hadn't shown up yet...

My only disagreement on your picks is SS Lara Croft. No way is she one of the worst figures. I think she represents her video game counterpart quite well.

They aren't my 'thing', so I don't know if I'll keep buying them. Maybe though, beause they are pretty damn well done. Damn it, there's just too much cool stuff out there!

Good round up Mike, agree very, very closely with most of it!

God I want one of those Millenium Falcons, but where would I put it!

That's my issue with the Falcon... looks badass, but space is not something I always have a lot of :lol
