I just cancelled Jabba, his throne, and Bib Fortuna

Well after so many people cancelled thousands of dollars worth of preorders to make room for Jabba I just did the opposite. Goodbye Jabba, you would have been the crown jewel of the 1/6 collection. And goodbye to almost all 1/6 offerings. The reign of the Premium Format has begun!

I collect both 1/6 and PF but I'll admit that I've had to drop quite a few 1/6 lines to keep up with the PFs but I'd never drop the 1/6 Star Wars line.

The Jabba set to me is like a dream come true. I'd never thought I'd see anything like this in 1/6 so there is no way I'd ever think about canceling mine. I'd cancel a few PFs if I had to. All of the non-exclusive PFs are pretty easy to obtain on ebay, and under retail.

I plan on trying to collect everything Hasbro puts out and all of Sideshow 1/6 and most of their 1/4. I love Jabba way to much to give him up he will be one of the centerpieces of my collection

I was all ready to go the PF route, but after realizing the cost and space necessary for that, I decided to go with 1/6. I believe the Jabba setup is going to be the greatest 1/6 scale items ever created and I look forward to him shipping next year.

I am not getting any of this set BTW. I already sold my anakin SDCC and will just be keeping Kit exclusive and may be Obi wan exclusive from 12" line. If SS will do alien 12" jedis, I will be in as well.

I would cancel any of the other items I have coming if I had to.... all to cover the greatness that is Jabba the Hutt in 1/6th scale. He's going to be the most amazing display piece ever made in that scale and will only spark despair in those who cancelled him once the pics go up....

But, I understand the allure of the PF statues.... they are wonderful pieces of art. I try to walk the line, picking my favorites from both sides of the spectrum. It's hard, but I manage...

I dropped a few lines(not 1/6th) to be able to afford this. I can't imagine not getting it - it's the kind of grand gesture we always wish toy companies would do, but they never really do unless it's small scale. It's practically a reward from Sideshow for supporting the line. I never believed we'd ever see a Jabba, let alone his throne, in-scale. It opens the possibilities for the line enormously.

I totally agree. SDCC was the first time I had ever seen PFs and I thought those were impressive. Then I turned around and there was the glorious slug himself. He was the highlight of the entire show, and I even got to see the real Mace Windu, LOST, Spider-Man 3, and Stan Lee. This Jabba piece is a million times more impressive in person than in photos. You just cannot imagine its size. I dare anyone to take the throne's measurements and cut it out in a piece of newspaper or draw it with side walk chalk and not tell me that thing is bigger than you thought. I just cannot wait for Jabba and I wasn't ever really a big Jabba fan. This figure will define Sideshow's 1/6 Star Wars line.

I hear ya KD, but I could definitely skip a PF for a Sixth Scale Rancor! I've wanted one ever since I first saw him, it reminded me of the stop-motion animated monsters from the Willis OBrien/Harryhausen era; old school, way too cool.

I would build a ******* cellar for him, well, maybe a little one. Seriously someone will come up with a cool way to feature him, like a customized dog kennel cage. There is always a way to display him if you really want him but you will need to dedicate space for sure.
