I say good choice! I saw Jabba at SDCC and just didn't care, it's cool, but it didn't blow me away like the PF's did. I'm still sticking to 12", and just 1-2 PF's but I say you did the right thing. I need a Darth PF though, I haven't been able to find one for a good price.

I would build a ******* cellar for him, well, maybe a little one. Seriously someone will come up with a cool way to feature him, like a customized dog kennel cage. There is always a way to display him if you really want him but you will need to dedicate space for sure.

My Jabba setup is going to be on a 37" x 37" card table and I'm not sure how tall a Rancor would be but it might just fit right under the tabel. And if I had any cohones I could cut a trap door in the tabe for it as well somehow.

I don't know for sure if the Gentle Giant statue rancor is in scale with his handler, but I guess Sideshow could do a rancor considering how long Jabba is going to be.

Building a Rancor Pit:

If you really want to do something like this it would be pretty easy IMO, simply use a few ceiling or acoustic tiles (they are cheap and come in all colors and textures) cut to fit a floor and three walls, glue against a box or pet cage, throw some dirt on the floor and whammo, you have a Rancor pit...

He looks to be about just a bit over twice the size of the Keeper in that pose. So he would be 24 or 25 inches tall. NECA's Balrog is that big, so it is possible.

Thanks! It a statue, so it's not articulated. It's a pretty big piece. I think the Rancor is 16" tall. Even though it won't be in scale with Jabba, it should look really cool next to him.

I was thinking about canceling my 12 inch SW figures to make room for the PF's. I was very close to doing it but I sold some other things. The PF line is amazing and I'm not blown away by the 12 inch figures. There's alot of 12 inch figures shipping so if they look good I'll be staying with the 12 inch line, but PF can't be touched.

That's exactly what I did. I canceled all the ones I had on pre-order and sold off the ones I did have.



No P.F. either...I am skipping out on SW altogether.

Just focus on the must have pieces for you collection. I tried to collect every thing at one time but between finances and space, I have to pick and choose. Mostly OT stuff I'll probably never get into the PF's just too much $$$. The 1/6 scale is my limit but I've only ordered 3 figs other than the Jabba set-up. Luke, Anakin & Obi. As for Jabba He will be the biggest and most expensive piece in my entire collection ever! Can't let him go. He is my favorite part of the OT. I hope you don't regret it. I know I wouldn't have cancelled him. Remember he should come during tax return season. File early and treat youself right.

Of course you have to actually get something back for that to work. Up until last year I had to pay for the previous 6 years.. only like $100 each time but still.

this is just my opinion, but I think if you should cancel things out, the PF must go. You can get them later-on on ebay for maybe lesser price or just a little above price point. Besides, 1 PF = 5-6 SW figures. They are a lot smaller too and the run is pretty big. More character's the better, IMO. I have no SW PF on my collection other than Marvel stuff.

I have been going back and forth on Jabba/Leia/Bib. My original intent on ther 12" line was Jedi/Sith ONLY until I saw Jabba and how cool it looked. I really like it a lot, but keep trying to decide if I want it enough while I am still buying the PF's too. Space is an issue even after packing up my WETA LOTR line.

I hear ya Mikey! No way would I cancel this fella. I have him and everything else on order to go with him. I also have the GG Rancor coming from Fireside. I think the Rancor is 1/7 scale so I'll put them next to each other and see if it works or not. I really hope SS doesn't do a Rancor, I'll need a third Luke
