I scored an unreleased Predator 1 and unannounced Gort Predator by Hot Toys

Actually Gort in Predator 2 isn't P1 at all man.
He's like the rest of the Lost Hunter's: Modified P2's. You can see he's EXACTLY like P2, from the paint scheme to the armor. Only difference is the Bio.

you're right. My bad. I knew he was exactly one or the other, but with the Gort mask. I should have checked before saying. In that case, with this new Gort mask, I can turn my masked P2 into the Gort Pred without any mods really.

That is why I am wondering if they will change the body like they did for the boar mask. I don't think it would sell that well if it is just a P2 with a gort mask. I'm hoping that they end up using the Ram body with the mask, he would definately stand out with his blue skin and silver P2 armor.

Or even better just make a ram predator.

If HT plans on releasing another Lost Pred with the Gort Bio.. it'll have to be like Borg: a Pred that doesn't already have one. Those would be:

SNAKE

and..

HIPPIE

Those are the only other Lost Preds that don't already have a designated Bio. Unless HT plans on releasing a Lost Hunter with 2 Bio's.. or maybe the extra Gort Bio as an EX.

Both have unique paint schemes. The problem imo will be in the accessories department: Borg already came with Hippie's spear plus a P2 spear, which is what Snake has.. so that's not an option. I guess HT could release some more Trophy wall skulls.

From SilentSurfer's original comments, sounds like the 'Gort' mask will be used as a P1 release rather than a P2; after all, HT need something big to justify a second variant, and I've been hoping against hope this is the option they'd take.

Thank goodness I hung onto my spare P2 for exactly this reason... now I just have to hope a P1 bio will fit a P2 head .

I'm actually surprised that HT sold it off on eBay like this and told silversurfer that Gort was coming. Surly, they'd remain titght-lipped about things like that until official interviews or newsletters?

This could be legit, I have no way of knowing yet. But Pan Maks work has been so strong on the Preds why risk undermining work on future projects?

Even if they have an exact armor etc with P2, I'm sure it will come with a different color scheme for the body and the armor. That all that matters to me.

I'd bet they have seen it already, my worry is that someone could have stolen casts and be posing as Pan, the other posability is that the seller only has photo's of these items, I hope SilentSurfer hasn't been played, but as long as he pays with a credit card through eBay he should be safe. But as I say I don't know, could be completely legit!

If that's the case, the easy fix would be to simply USE a P1 head with the bio on a P2 body.

^ auction and seller looks legit to me. Shouldn't be a problem. Perhaps its his own prototype that he plays around with at home; while the offical HT ones, stays with HT.

BTW, the mask pic was pulled by me by his request. Hopefully he won't take a beating for openly sharing that info with me by email, but at least it did generate a lot of hype and answer our speculation about a new figure possibility.

Well, if he has a contract, I'm sure he'd be putting it in jeopardy. - I'd imagine any work done for Hot Toys, regardless of "who's" sculpt it is, is their property.

Then again, I have no idea how HT conducts business with their sculptors.
