That video pretty much sums up everything a good friend of mine told me about his days as a cop in a suburb of St. Louis. He got out of police work and went into corporate security because he honestly believed his white coworkers on the force (note of reference--he's white too) were actively looking to kill "blacks" and ____ up anybody who wouldn't slip them a couple of hundred dollars to get out of a ticket. He started out loving his job but soon found out he just couldn't take it--too many racist cops harassing blacks and looking to kill them. He said his partner was always looking to start ____ and it finally came to a head one night and could have ended in a situation with not only his partner dead but himself dead and at least several innocent people. He said that his partner was ex-military as were a lot of the people he said were malcontents on the force. Firepower and insecurity does not mix when innocent lives are on the line.
I used to firmly believe as a kid that being a police officer was the greatest thing ever and something to look up to. I've never had any confrontations with cops in my life but the last time I was pulled over for speeding, this white highway patrol officer kept gesturing for his magnum every time he approached me plus he was loud and on edge. All that for a $100.00 ticket. Crazy. It freaked me out. I'm a lily white fat guy who's never been in a fight in his life. But at that moment I knew exactly how my black friends must feel when they are confronted by cops. If I had been black, that highway patrol officer would have pulled me out of that car and beat the ____ out of me and then called his friends. And then it would have got a lot worse. Its ____ like this that makes me want to buy a gun--not because of the fear for intruders breaking into my house and robbing me: for fear of these ____ing bastards with badges going on a rampage one night in my neck of the woods.
My friend it is horrible here in Saint Louis, if you aren't bigger than them, know someone or some of them. You are in deep trouble here for mouthing back. If Devil would of said that to a cop here in Saint Louis, he'd been handcuffed and possible beatened if he said another word while laying on the ground. I kid you not.
I had this thread saved a while back and meant to watch this video but this is exactly the reason why I'm very straight forward with cops if they ever give me any trouble. Heck, half of them think I'm ex-military just because of my build and looks, shaved head etc...
We've (a bud and I) have been pulled over several times either from a night of partying or just going out with friends, etc... and we've been let go, or I either knew the cop from the gym or they have watched me compete here in bodybuilding in Saint Louis because half of the force believe or not like to go to the gym or do steroids (which is the same circle of people that mingled around each other). My buddy is still very heavily into riods and I never had any curiosity to do that sort of thing 1) for competitions 2) it's just cheating myself and I'd rather do it naturally or not at all. (ironic that today my size today is not that off from my bud which is not natural but it took years of me training). Anyways it's the bully thing, the intermidation factor. They see a couple of guys like us they know they can't man handle without more or less shooting us, so there's not much trouble giving besides just lots of questions and perhaps a warning but on the other hand if they get someone like a black, hispanic, skinny dude, what not or whatever you can pretty much count that they are going to use that advantage to give you much more of a harder time because they are basically bullies and know who they can bully around and get away with in the justice system as well. They know that blacks are the main percentage of Saint Louis crime therefore they are going to use that as an excuse to do this type of punishment by labeling as legit service which is BULL____!
There's nothing more that angers me more than the cops here in Saint Louis. I was being followed not too long ago at my old resident one night whenever I was sitting at home and I thought to myself it's been a while that I've eating some junk food. I think I'll go to Taco Bell, well on the way over just because it was late at night I guess a cop that noticed my car going along the way and sped up to me from a distance once I past the gas station. I knew this so I was basically thinking "____ the dude is going to start ____ing with me" I knew it immediately. So I circled the Taco Bell and pulled over into the grocery store and basically waited for him. He basically had no reason to harrass me and he knew that I caught him doing it. He started asking me what I was doing and I told him "um... getting something to eat, is there a problem? --me" "Oh no problem you know the grocery store closes in a few minutes...--Cop" "Oh no... I didn't know that, thanks for letting me know --me".
Then he basically was bull____ting with me again and asked if he knew me by any chance that if I trained at this or that gym and was becoming more friendly in his conversation. I basically was annoyed and I'm sure you could tell it by the facial expression on my face and just wanted him to leave me alone. So he just drove off and said "Have a nice night!" What a croc of ____, you have nothing better to do than harass innocent people than actually arrest real criminals.
Sorry for the rant, this subject really fires me up, if I was an officer and witness my partner acting like this, I think I would quit the force as well, maybe told my partner to STFU!
