Well after a year and a bit we have a tease...
Looks to be 'Modern Connor' first judging by the scabbard on the Katana, ltd to 888 units

I'm thrilled.
Finally.
How much do we know about Iconiq Studios? Where are those guys based? China? HK? Elsewhere?
They have only made a small bunch of figs, haven't they? Are those any good? Lots of rubber bodies, I see. They might not cut it?
Anyways, how come such an unknown, probably tiny outfit could land a licence from SC?

To me, the Highlands segment is Connor & Ramirez training. The montage. The awakening. The Quickening.
If the Kurgan gets released, which I hope, it must include full armour battle look & duel look. An accurate diorama piece to execute Ramirez on will be much needed, too.

To me, the NY segment is Connor in his loft..... that loft... oh man... I still dream of 1 day living in a place so modern, forward looking, roomy & yet so interesting, cozy & welcoming. And Connor's Sancta Sactorum.... wow..... a place to savour that secretly kept 400-year old scotch from good old Glenfinnan.....

That movie is pure gold, but only to those w/ the right eyes to see it.

Why are you @tys1977 so sure it is going to be NY Connor? That is my absolute favourite! And what is with that 888 edition number?

I can't help but speculating.
What can we expect from IS for NY Connor? Perfect tailoring, fit & underlying physicality would be musts. Realistic fabrics. Those jeans... that oversized gray trench coat... the heroic WW2 pilot jacket (in real leather, I hope)..... the gloves..... the dirty sneakers..... Lambert's build.....
Then likeness.... I hope they will improve upon KP's outing, which was quite OK back then but not up to today's standards. And that unshaven look, so 80s....
Then rooted hair. That Lambertian hair was so cool, be it dry & loose, or soaking wet and fully combed backwards.
Movable eyes, anyone? They add so much to a figure's expressivity....
Metal hardware would also be in order, complete w/ spark and electricity attachements à la Star Wars.

W/ modern times Kurgan, one could recreate the church scene. "Sacred ground, Highlander! Remember what Ramirez taught you!".

I am also wondering about the price point. Ramirez is going to be every bit as expensive as the owl from Tyrell Corp.

Chime in, you all Highlanders! This is it, at long last!
Thx.

As mentioned above, the Katana's scabbard is a dark/black,colour, if it were Ramirez the scabbard would be red...
I'm in for everything on this line,
Modern Macleod,Kurgan
Medievil Macleod,Ramirez,Kurgan
I have the Sideshow Macleod and Kurgan, the Kaustic Plastik 'highland lord' but I held back on the 'Dark Immortal' announced a while ago as I'm curious as to what these guys will do with Kurgan in his armour...
Fingers crossed for a full set

The saya is brown when the Kurgan breaks in on Ramirez and Heather sitting at the table. It was a set error because Marto made the ivory sword with both brown and red sayas. Connor is never seen with the red or brown saya in the film. I think there is a scene with the katana with the saya at Connor’s apartment but I can’t remember exactly where it is at. So the saya color doesn’t mean it will be modern Connor. Just the tsuka is the Marto version of the sword from Endgame with a dark red or brown saya.

I can't see them starting off the line with Ramirez tbh, hadn't realised it was different when he was talking to Heather, In Connor's apartment it looks more brown than red though imo ( He places it next to the lift when he enters)

It looks red in that screen grab. I doubt the color really means anything honestly. Connor would be the obvious choice to start of with for a new line of figures.

With the company using a Marto head for the tsuka, I doubt they are using that much research into the product. I bet it has a lot to do with licensing since they straight up own the rights to the Marto Endgame tsuka. But it is fun to speculate about all the minute details. Part of what makes this hobby fun and exciting.

Absolutely, I'm just glad they're finally getting round to doing 'hopefully' a Highlander Line, I'm in for 'em all

Guessing it might be somewhat in this order:

Connor (moderm
Kurgan (modern
Duncan (modern if they have tv license
Connor (ancient
Kurgan (ancient

and then if still going, finally:
Ramirez (ancient (Spanish
Duncan (ancient

Bold are the ones I want most, so going to be a long wait, if the license holds.
Not sure it has much life beyond those?
Hugh Fitzcairn (Roger Daltrey
Richie Ryan:ohbfrank:
The Raven
Gavin MacLeod (modern sailor suit?:lol

Yup. Absolutely no problem having a 1/6 scale Elizabeth Gracen on my shelf.

Though Kaustic Plastik launched with Conner (Ancient Scottish).
aka "Scottish Lord" Don't know if they had the license, or if it was just an unlicensed one-off., what became of that production?

Anything past 2 figures is a stretch for Iconiq going by their delays and track record.

Why I was hoping they would start by going all in with the more elaborate trio of ancient/mythic looks;

Definitely interested in the OG trio in their fantastic era specific uniforms, those are three iconic looks, (though wtf was that bizare Kurgan armor? LOL).
While I appreciate the movie theme, how they set-up, and balanced both- part ancient myth, part gritty urban, modern thriller. I don't really need a guy in jeans and white sneakers, since I grew up through the 80s. Seems the most mundane visual to me, even with the added trench-coat and katana. :wink1:
