SF2 animated movie is awesome, no doubts there.

But Fatal Fury 2 OVA is amazing as well. I’d go as far and say I prefer it over SF2 animated movie. It’s a much simpler story and it’s told so well.

It was good, but I feel the script and pacing were tighter in FF2. It also benefits being the 2nd story because now it starts With Terry as a legend and is revered. Then Krauser shows up and immediately tears it down and we wanna see Terry rise to the occasion and become the legendary wolf again. If the movie had a Rocky-esque training montage, the movie would’ve been TOO good

I personally prefer FF the motion picture, it has very good animation, although in art direction SF II continues to win by far, in addition that both the Japanese and the American soundtrack are very good, and depending on the mood of the day makes you see the film differently.

Oh hell yeah, the FF movie was awesome too! The only criticism I have for it is the different art styles that popped up from time to time. It was bit jarring. it was only for a few scenes though that took up maybe...3 seconds or so. Not a big deal. But yeah the movie rocked!

I will stand by his SFV design being very cool and the only real issue people have was purely a rendering issue. If it's top-knot vs not, that's about the same as beard vs no beard, or something. Give it a few years after SFVI and watch everyone appreciate the solid design it was (but again a terrible rendering job in-game).

Kinda bummed Ken is classic only because that's the version of Ryu I'd much rather have as well (classic). Would be cool to get alt.head and hand parts of Classic, Alpha, SFIITAM, SFV. A bit like this older Akuma statue.

Yup, SFV had some lousy clipping issues on their models (though I do remember seeing a mod that corrected it).

Despite its flaws, I hope that the upcoming Ken figure follows suit with his SFV look. It may not be everyone's ideal Ken, but I think that the SFV look really sold me on Ryu. IMO, it would be better to have a chance at a consistent line rather than mixing up eras by catering to everyone.

SF 2 soundtrack is amazing. I also love how detailed the animators went with drawing the fight choreography. They rotoscoped alot of the moves, looks so fluid, so much animation work went into capturing correct martial arts movement.

I just wanted to post something about the Ryu I just received in the mail. I think from packaging to product it’s 10/10. I only put one picture below, but I have to say, what a great job they did, with the whole presentation and figure itself. I have the Scorpion and Subzero which I was impressed with, but for just a few bucks more, this blows them away. And they give you white gloves! Can’t wait to see Ken!!

I really wish they would've released Ken along side Ryu just like Storm collectibles released Scorpion & Subzero together. I guess Ryu by his lonesome will have to do for now.

Sideshow is last to get stock. I definitely won’t be getting Ken through them. I’m using my last sideshow credit and gift card for the Batcycle then I’m done entirely with sideshow. I’ll stick with osk and giant toy for future ordering outside of Iconiq
