I really really can’t swing for him right now, but I certainly do appreciate how he turned out.

Don’t got any points saved up at SSC? It’s truly a phenomenal figure and one that really shouldn’t be slept on, especially if you have a connection to Street Fighter.

For me, if my funds were held up by other upcoming figures, I’d cancel whichever one that’s bound to have a definite 2.0 or will be warming shelves for a while and shift those funds to Ryu.

Not trying to put pressure on you or make you feel bad...but this figure is REALLY that good.

Sideshow is last to get stock. I definitely won’t be getting Ken through them. I’m using my last sideshow credit and gift card for the Batcycle then I’m done entirely with sideshow. I’ll stick with osk and giant toy for future ordering outside of Iconiq

I'm surprised they're getting inventory later than BBTS. I thought BBTS was the last stop. I'm in the same boat. Used to love Sideshow but I'm completely done with them at this point and would only use them as a last resort. Really dislike what they've turned into.

The short of it is I just spent a bunch on the Storm 1/6 Kombat figures, so budget is tight. I have a “list” of my most desired characters, and I’ve done a pretty good job sticking to that list. It’s about 24 characters total, and some likely will never get the 1/6 treatment at all. I do have two characters from Street Fighter on the list, though… but they aren’t Ryu. One is Chun-Li and the other is Blanka. Ryu would come in as a strong contender though, but even then I’m more into his SF2 look.

Do I want him? Absolutely. But there are several characters I do want more and upcoming releases of characters I care more about. If I get a good financial boost soon to offset my last splurge, he’s in top contention, but it’s been a wallet killer year last year for me as so many of my top wishlist figures got announced.

But, yeah, I want him. Legendary character with a masterpiece figure treatment.

I hear you man. The MK figures did a number on the wallet.

My biggest want for a different variation of Ryu would be either SF3 or CVS. Man imagine if iconiq can achieve kinu nishimura’s art from CVS2?? Like..imagine this!

Storm collectibles 1/12 SF2 Ryu was...a bit of a let down. I wasn’t a huge fan of the head sculpt. The hair was the worst part. I don’t know how the sculptor interpreted the hair in the profile art...but the hair parted down the middle made him look goofy.

Dude, Ryu just arrived from BBTS. I have owned a ton of 1/6 scales and this one is truly something special. The build, sculpt, fabric/embroidery and packaging are all top notch. I may get tired of seeing Ryu show up in online matches, but I can't stop staring at him now. A+ job Iconiq Studios!

I hope those that get him enjoy him. This is a powerful want for me, but part of the pleasures of this hobby is knowing you can’t get everything, but getting what you most want is a treat.

… That said, hurry up and announce Chun-li.

While I'm disappointed I didn't have my budget in order for Ryu and he's selling out, I'm pleased to see the demand was clearly there and they can't keep him in stock. That bodes well for the line.

I'd bet they'll get more in stock again. And I agree, hopefully him selling quickly will help keep this line alive for future characters. Give me Chun-Li, Guile, Blanka, Akuma, M Bison, Ken Masters, Balrog... I'll want them all.

With that said, I received my Ryu yesterday from BBTS. I only had time to do a quick unboxing and hold the figure for a bit. I must say, he's looks freaking great in hand. The heavy phicen body, the clothes, the sculpt and accessories all are high quality.

Have been unable to pay off Ryu and Iconiq is getting impatient so they gave me until friday to pay my balance which is my plan. I think he's still available at SS so worse case it gets cancelled and I order there. Even worse it's sold out or waitlisted.

Got this figure in, really impressed with it. I'd be all over a Ken (red gi) and Chun Li if they happen. Anyone from SF2 basically but those 2 sound like they will happen? E.Honda and Dhalsim would be a riot. My only real nitpick is that I don't like exposed joints, and as someone mentioned earlier an alternative pair of longer trousers to hide the joint would be great. Something to consider for Ken, if they make him. Perhaps ankle supports/wraps would be a natural enough looking way to hide the joints, even if Ryu has never worn them. I may try to make my own wraps for him.

Yeah, my SF wish list would be

1) Ken (red gi)
2) Chun Li
3) Sagat

Anyway, this Ryu is a magical release.
