I got this one I'm using for the red neck scarf from Toy Anxiety from the John Connor Terminator Salvation figure. It fits great on my TT TrueType neck post, and it's already the correct color for John Marston! Here's the link to it at T.A.

Woops, I talked before I checked T.A.'s website again...it's sold out! It maybe can be found on eBay...

Anyways here's a picture of it I posted earlier on my TrueType with the "Tom Cruise" head standing in until I get the Marston head and hat from sunohc...

Thanks for the info on the scarf/bandana guys. I'm going to try a sao feng scarf and modify it if need be.

I've been really scratching my head on what to do about the poncho. (That's my favorite look.) I wonder where you could find some material with a similar pattern. Any thoughts guys?

Check back earlier in this thread. I think someone said something about where to find ponchos in the 1/6 scale. If I am remembering correctly.

still no luck on the poncho front... I wonder if a craft store has that pattern in cloth, I can just cut it. Will have to look out for it.

ordered my head/hat from daniel! now getting on the gun rig from stevo, as well as guns. Also got the denimn jacket and tony stark pants. Ill use the Aldo raine shirt, and im well on my way!

Yeah, you are on the way! You can see I've also got the gray Aldo Raine shirt, and the denim jacket, and striped Tony Stark Mech test pants too in my picture a few posts up from here.

Good luck with getting your John Marston together! You're well on your way like most of us here already are. :wave

i did see it and it looks awesome jedimike! Thanks alot everyone for the awesome suggestions, and Daniel for offering us an amazing sculpt! Im really excited to get marston coming together.

Yeah, this'll be a cheaper way to get a figure that looks just as good.

Don't know about cheaper. I've already spent $205.00 and that's because I already had the gloves/ hands, weapons and body. And because I'm painting the headsculpt myself. But it all going to be worth it when it's done :yess:

yea.. definitley not cheaper. custom bashes of mine like my Leon, Travis Bickle, and T1 Terminator have all cost me 300+ and im expecting this one to run me around the same.

I was going to wait to do a list of all the pieces I got and price them out for this project after I got the head sculpt and hat from sunohc, and the gun rig and two guns I ordered from Stevostoys. But let's see what I've spent already on it:
1.) one new Hot Toys standard TrueType body with the "Tom Cruise" looking head sculpt from a board member here = $60.00
2.) one pair of light brown Newline leather boots = $19.00
3.) Tony Stark Mech Test pinstriped pants with black belt = $5.00 over at www.toyanxiety.com
4.) HT Aldo Raine light gray long-sleeved shirt = $9.00 at www.toyanxiety.com
5.) denim jacket - dark gray with yellow stitching from eBay (thanks again toylion! It was $16.00
6.) John Connor red arm band I'm using for Marston's red neck tie = $5.00 at www.toyanxiety.com
7.) John Marston's custom head sculpt and custom hat from sunohc = $40.00
8.) The complete John Marston gun rig (leather holster with LeMat pistol = $8.00, ammunition bandolier with brass "bullets", and back rifle holster with "U-shaped" gun cradle, and a Henry repeater rifle = $8.00) = $90.00 for the complete gun rig + $16.00 for the two guns = $108.00

So...my grand total for this figure is = $260.00! Wow...that really adds up fast! I'm not even counting the cost of shipping it all to me that is about $30.00 at least. So, to me that is much more than what I think Hot Toys would charge for this figure IF they made it. Plus I know this figure will be as good, if not better than what Hot Toys could do! :yess:

I also got an original black Marx 1/6 scale horse I'm going to use as the "war horse" (Best Buy exclusive horse) for my John Marston figure. How much was that horse again toylion? I think he was about $19.00, maybe $20.00? I'm going to repaint his mane and tail the light yellow color to match the "war horse" in the game. :wave

Including the optional horse that I got that makes my grand total....either $279.00 (if the horse was $19.00) or $280.00 (if the horse was $20.00 on eBay...toylion?). I am going to paint the Marston head sculpt and hat just like toylion is doing. But unlike him I didn't already have the guns, gloves, hands or body. I had to buy all of those. The gloves I have on my TT body now are light brown. So I'll be painting them black to match Marston's gloves later on after I get sunohc's head and hat.

So that's the most I've ever spent on anything in the 1/6 scale...except the Hot Toys ALIENS power loader with the Ripley figure. After 3 flex payments from Sideshow with shipping it was about $325.00 a few years ago.

Depends on how you buy your stuff.

That's true. I tried to shop as affordably as I could. But had to pay a little more for the HT TT body. But I know it was one of the best bodies to use. I'm glad I got it.

AWESOME Leo! I LOVE your western figures collection! :yess:

Especially the entire cast of "Tombstone", and your John Wayne, Steve McQueen, Clint Eastwood...and...is that Gary Cooper from "High Noon"?

Oh heck...I love them all! :)

Thanks Mike, and I love Westerns as you can see. Had to make my own as no manufacturers were. Just those few Six Gun Legends from Sideshow.
