The PF line will never equal the breadth or impressive level of the statue line IMO. I like the PF better as it is more lifelike, but it would take decades (at SS's snail pace)to equal the scope of the statue line. Some of the most impressive figures that have statues will never be made as a PF.

Don't get me wrong, statues are awesome but I like to have the ability to pose my figures. Yes...I like to play with my toys.

I like 1/6 scale...a LOT, but this line in 1/6 is not that fantastic IMO.

It's not dead till they say it's dead. You look across alot of lines and very few of them have every single thing sold out.

It might be wishful thinking on my part, but I really wish people would stop saying the 1/6 line is dead!

Would be a toss up between statues and PF's but voted PF just cause i'm still marvelling at Aragorn's recent arrival but oh the space has got to limit u over time.

I voted PF, but that's what I'm into right now. There was a time when I loved WETA (and I still enjoy what I own), but if Sideshow released the LOTR statues now, I probably wouldn't buy any of them. There's something about PF I find more appealing.

PF's, PF's, and um.....PF's. I learned my lesson. But bottom line: Collect what you love and whatever your wallet can afford. (The latter is esp. important.)

Dioramas seem to satisfy me the best. I dabbled in Premium Format Star Wars, but they are too large for the room that I have to display them in. I think the diorama lines are nice vignettes from each property with just enough background or backdrop to set a nice mood and remind me of the particular films they represent.

Legendary Scale is nice, but again too large for my display space, and I also like a full figure which you will almost always get with the dioramas. I like the Alien franchise dios so much, I almost dipped into the Universal Monsters line.

I wouldn't want to start a panic, but I would guess that not just the 1/6th line but all of the SS LOTR lines have traveled to the Fair Havens...

Perhaps they haven't set sail yet, but they are saying their teary-eyed goodbyes...

The lack of LOTR items displayed at SDCC spoke volumes to me.

I truly, truly hope I'm wrong.

But in the meantime, I'm already at work on my custom 1/6th scale Gimli and once done, will start on my custom Merry and Pippin figs. The "Fellowship Nine" in 1/6th scale shall NOT be denied!
