I paid about $200 for the kit and another $200 to get it painted. It also now comes with a cool base. It is about 1/6 scale.

The Thiago/Miller Bats is 1/5 scale, and the best Miller Bats IMO. The Batman on Gargoyle is one of my favorite Batman statues. He's huge, over 1/4 scale, and has great presence.

In case you have a few minutes, maybe this might clear something up:

I thought he said it was an else worlds story in the vid but can't seem to find it so I'm wondering if he meant an else worlds concept he came up with.

Would the kit still be available somewhere Sanjai?

I got mine directly from the sculptor about 3 years ago. I can do some digging to see if it is still available. Originally it did not come with a base, but the sculptor (or someone else, I'm not sure) made a base for it later on, which I also acquired. And yeah, I think it is closer to 1/5 than 1/6. Here is a pic of a painted one (not mine, although mine is similiar).

it is all relative I guess. I think 99% of the population would say we're all nuts for even spending $100 on these toys.

Yeah I agree. There is no right or wrong in pricing for a statue, custom or otherwise. A Batman PF is worth $400 to me, but to this guy over here he might say I was crazy for spending that on him.

This is my favourite Miller batman, although it is too rich for my blood.

I am guessing that too. Maybe Alex and he came up with a story or something. :dunno But, at least now we know why's he perched on that Lion. :D

Thank you so much! :) You're lucky to own one!

Further about cusotm work, I remember when I started collecting, I saw Paquet's Bronze Bats and Joker. Really liked both of them (more for them being 'Ultra Rare'!). But of course, could never even imagine getting them. At least, not the Joker (there were only like 2 or 3 that were made, right?).

And, not to forget his A Dark Winter's Knight statue, the one whose miniature was used for the snow globe. This is my perfect representation of Bats.

About the one based on TDKTriumphant cover art, I think something's missing with that one. A) Very difficult to get Miller's art done properly in 3D and, B) He looks a bit on the thinner side. But dunno how he looks in person.

those are all really cool too.

The one I am eyeing now is a bats/catwoman 1/4 scale dio. It is a more modern take, but looks awesome!

it is still in the development stage (digital rendering) and no real info yet other than it being 1/4 scale.

But here is a teaser pic:

Back in 2009/10, I was given the opportunity to buy the Pacquet Bronze Batman, but it came with the terms that I would have to buy the Joker as well, which doubled the price. I would've pulled the trigger on Bats alone, even that would've been in a different world of what I'm used to spending for a custom, but with those terms, it priced me out.

I saw this pic on Avinash's Deviantart page. It's a cover art/poster from Arkham city. I am out of the customs collecting game, but this would be my exception. I want this piece!!!

Avinash's is listed as one of the sculptors who worked on the SS Catwoman PF. Seeing as he's now affiliated with SS, and SS are developing Arkham PFs, could it be possible that this is an upcoming Arkham dio/PF? That would be insanely cool!

Just did a quick google after reading your post and found this. It'll be cool if the Arkham dio thing actually happens!

Another of his works which I admire a lot is his Bisley statue. Pretty awesome! But then, I saw it on eBay with such sad colours that the price that was being asked looked terribly ridiculous! Such work of art spoilt by strange / sad paint apps.

If you haven't and would like to see, his interview from 2011: Avinash Hegde

lol, you guys know more about it than I do!

There is a statue collecting group on facebook that I lurk on to get details on cool upcoming projects like this. Hopefully it actually gets produced.

Lol, it's sad that I have my ear to the ground on so much stuff like this. If it exists, then in today's world, I can find it, and it can be acquired. Wish I was this one track and on the ball in my work;)
