A heads up for anyone that's looking for the Black Ninja at retail in the US; Legends Toys & Hobbies has them for $44.98:
https://legendshobbies.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/66/products_id/359
They're located in Rowland Heights California so the shipping would be less then Toy Square (Canada) which also has the Black one available for $55:

These are the last two places that have them available for retail, they're hitting $75 on Ebay now.
Mine was $58 shipped UPS from Legends, which will arrive on Thursday!
Just ordered one w/ a newer HT Asian True Type Thank you, sir!
Thanks for the welcome
Got my ninja from Legends in 2 days! Only the second time I ordered from them and I can't stress enough how great those guys are!
First thing done was changed out the body to the True Type, washed/softened the outfit and 86'ed the tabi boots. I added some custom warachi sandals and leg armor, as well as some braided hemp cord for the armor and To scabbard.
Love the True Type ankles--very stiff!
Oh, Oh, where did you get those sandals from!!?
I need a pair for my Triad Samurai that's been going barefoot for a weak.
Fantastic update e5sargemac!
I see, neat trick. I have some left over dragon boots with inserts, I might have to try making my own. I originally thought about making Geta sandals which would be easier then actually weaving Waraji, but I prefer Waraji for a Samurai. I do wish someone made 100% authentic woven Waraji sandals, I wounder if Triad will take a request into consideration? Thanks. I made them out of hemp string, using those DML shoe inserts as a base. Then glued string wound beneath to form the sole, as well as binding the outer edge to hide the plastic insert entirely. Then a few loops around the sandal and a piece of string to lace it all up.
For what it's worth, geta might look a little out of place, at least on a ninja in the traditional shinobi garb, but on a bushi (samurai warrior) they'd look great. The zori sandals included with most of the Alfrex figures would work, and might better serve as a base for building waraji than anything else available, if you happen to have some.
I'd go with waraji every time for ninja figures like these. I have a detailed illustration of how to tie them on in a book somewhere... if anyone's interested I'll see if I can find it and post a reference pic. Might be helpful for people who are thinking of making their own footwear.
Not only look out of place but be very unstealthy.
I'm happy with the Tabi boots on the Ninja, but I wanted to find some footwear for my Triad Samurai (great set by the way) and have been looking everywhere online for some 1:6 Waraji, no luck so far. I might have to wait for someone to part out Ignite's Swordsman for them.
I'd also like to replace the Waraji on my Sonny Chiba Alfrex Ninja, they're very over sized.
Thanks for the welcome

That turned out very nice! Those sandals are killer. I ordered one of the white Ignite ninja outfits & I'm going to try to dye it another color. I'm thinking a dark blue or brown. I'll post pics soon!
