Anyone notice the rubber provided to wrap on 4 sides of the metal frame where the glass sits is getting worse?

I had an older detolf i bought and a newer one, the newer rubber keeps splitting into 2 pieces and falling all over the glass. I can hear small krang noise everytime one of those little bust@rds fail. While the rubber on the older Detolf seems to be solid.

I believe the weight i put on both cabinet is around the same for each level so i don't think weight causes them to fail. They are also around the same location.

Anyone having similar issue?

Are you talking about the clear rubber stopper parts?

Not sure if this will help, but i use the circular "scratch and skid protectors" that you can pick up in any dollar stores.
I use the large(Maybe 1" in diameter) ones, and overlap the edges.
This serves two purposes. It stops the shelves from being able to touch the side walls of the detolf and rattle, and also stops them from touching the metal frame. With a little overlap front and sides(More on the sides), they will wedge into place nice and tight, pushing against the side walls ever so slightly.
You can see them in these images:

wow 3 lights on each shelf? never seen that. must look awesome in the dark dude

Most shelves just have two strips.
But because i was removing a shelf from the far left detolf(So Jake Sully and Hulk would fit in), the Jake and Hulk shelves both have three(I had eight strips to fit in that detolf, so it was broken down into 3/3/2 to use up all eight).

Kind of a spongy material. They are great because when you attach them sticking out slightly, they wedge against the glass, stopping that "glass on glass" creaking that you can get from a Detolf. I just prefer them. But i understand it won't be for everyone.

Very nice. I absolutely HATE that glass on glass sound when I'm futzing with the shelves. I'll have to find a similar product locally :)
