Ilum Padme?

Anyone know when for sure this 12" is going up for pre-order besides the general "during comic-con"? I've got a tee time on Thursday that'll put me somewhere around the fifth green when the usual pre-order time pops up...

You could just get on the waitlist. You pretty much garaunteed one if you get on the waitlist the same day. Hell you could get on a month or so before she hits and still get one.

I love the sculpt, but her lips look more like Angelina Jolie's than Portman's. But that could be a paint or lighting thing.

Headsculpt looks great. The body looks kind of odd to me, hopefully it's just the pose. I'll order it, but I think I might make it an arena Padme. Personally, I think the realification ( ) of the Clone Wars gear looks kinda weird.

I'm not honestly sure this will work in with my Star Wars movie figures the more I look at it.

I'd like to get this just for the headsculpt though and build my own Arena Padme... or maybe stick it on the Senate Gown figure from Hasbro.

personally, I do think the clone wars cartoon edge looses something when it's made realistic. as for the head sculpt...well....I won't even get into THAT.

to me, it all looks really well done though (outside of my efforts which....well, anyone who's an 'artist' knows they're never ever happy with their work)

It looks just like Natalie to me, and I've drooled over enough pictures of her over the years to have her face burned on my mind, ya it's an obsessive crush so what, wanna fight about it lol (Family Guy joke some might get). Anyway, I think Portman's gorgeous and first time I saw the painted proto a while back in the podcast I was blown away and I still am.

I also have learned not to judge SSC products by the photos we get, although this one looks frighteningly realistic.

I'm with Josh and Maul fan on this. I really love the face sculpt, I think it is a dead ringer for Portman. Overall the detail on the costume is fantastic but its the body underneath that makes it look a bit strange. SS said they were having trouble with the costume-body combination. They have done a pretty good job with it but its not quite a 10/10.
Also, has anyone else noticed that the PPO advert has clone wars on it. Looks like we may have a new sub-line to add to the others.

Well, I've often figured at some point there'd be new categories in the line, I wouldn't define any film appearance of Padme as a hero of the rebellion, ROTS could be stretched but really stretched, and she's definitely not a military, jedi or sith. The odd thing though, I think it had been stated that Asajj would be Sith, unless they've changed that, cuz that figure should be Clone Wars as well. Either way, the HS on this thing is so breathtaking I don't even notice the rest much right now.

Okay, so I'm confused.. It's great that SSC will be PPO'ing the Ilum Padme Thursday, but I though they were announcing a 1:6 scale 2-pack at SDCC.. Have I been miss-reading posts? What's going on?

This does seem to have a pretty nice head sculpt of Portman. This is not one I will be getting, but I sure am curious as to how popular this one is. IF I were SS, I would make this one pretty limited to keep interest high.

I think if you go and count the amount of products its under the 60-70 that's been tossed around.

I dont think it will be a PPO. I just hope this isnt a free for all though. I think we need to inquire when the preorders are and what time Padme will be up.
It looks like there will be 4 things I have to preorder this week and I dont want to miss any of them.
