......I'll name my first born son Russell Nash.

My bosses name is Russell Nash, no kidding. He doesn't get it when I reference the film, he never saw it. Also he's a 5'3" 48 year old black man. Not much like the Russell Nash who carries a sword.

:rotfl :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl ...Thats to cool...You have to introduce him to the movie.

...I keep posting threads about a medieval Kurgan on a Sideshow fan site.

... I bought a bottle of Glenmorrengie whiskey cos its what Connor drinks.

I love the TV series as well - you just need to give it a season or two to find its legs! I love the extra characters - Methos, Richie & Joe Dawson in particular - but even Amanda in a love-hate kind of way.

Well, okay...I just scored my first Highlander figure, dirt cheap on eBay. Origins Connor.

I figure it'll make a great custom Greystoke when Louis Tran releases his Triad bodies.

I have all the seasons on DVD...I watched them all on TV when they aired. I love the series but the truest Highlander is the first movie. As a kid, it almost rivaled Star Wars and Transformers...not quite but close. I always loved the seen where he stabs himself....great fun. Christopher Lambert isn't much of an actor but in this movie his wierd/non-acting style really works. When I look back on it, I just wish the sword fights were a bit more stylized and fun.

Cheers,

Brad

...on my birthday every year I make my family sing "Who wants to live forever?" instead of the usual birthday chorus.
...my voicemail currently says, "hi, you've missed McLu of the clan McLu of the Highlands of China..."

I thought the tv show was alright, but the one thing I disliked about it was that it made immortals feel so common. The first movie makes them seem like something very rare and special, but in the tv show they're crawling out of the woodwork, to the point that there's a special organization created to watch them all. It did give us a great character in Fitzcairn though, loved those episodes.

All of those punks should have been in the KURGAN'S fridge if it were canon.

DAMN STRAIGHT!!! :lol :lol

Decent series though..... better than most of the sequels at least. But NOTHING tops the original movie.

Well - even if only 0.00001% of the world's population was immortal thats a lot of immortals over time. Remember they do live forever - unless killed. And my take on it was that its only relatively recently that the game has intensifed to the degree it has - they believe that it is now the Gathering so Immortals who previously met and cooperated are now much more likely to end up fighting till only one remains.

And I love the idea of Watchers - its harder to believe that such an organisation would NOT exist given how many "ressurections" would have occurred throughout the ages.

....I still get the chills every time I see Kurgan right up on his horse right before he kills Connor.

.....I just counted how much screen time Medieval Kurgan in full armour has......55 secounds.
