The Mythbustes busted that myth. You actually can and it's quite shiny too! :p

Hahahaha! Serious?!?! You're pulling my chain. I gotta look this up. Ya know I noticed that debates gets pretty heated here. I can understand some people's passion for the films and the industry but guys this is just a friendly debate and everyone has their opinion of what may happen and what may not so chill k?:peace:peace:peace

Aside from Alien 3, and Res, all of ADI's "attempts" have sucked. Their Aliens look fake, their Predators dont look like Predators, they suck in the A&P department. They're good in everything else, but they really need to stay the hell away from this series....both of them.

ADI is a great company, the production quality of what they make is great, Stan's influence shows. Their flaw in these franchises is they don't think about the creatures properly. I was watching the AVPR bts footage and they talk about evolving the creature and blah blah blah, which they've successfully done and left behind the original premise and design. Stan Winston most likely would have kept to the original Giger concept as he did on ALIENS. It's not so much that ADI can't create Aliens and Predators, but they're mindset behind the designs is a bit flawed.

My thoughts too.

The movies needed better scripts - I think the creature effects were fine. The Predalien was an excellent design too - one of my favorite HT figures.

I love ADI's Aliens. I like the way they make them look like real creatures. I also love the "bug" look from Aliens, so for me it's apples and oranges. What I think Stan would have helped on was the design of the Pred-Alien. That was just stupid looking from a design standpoint. Good thing I'll probably never watch that piece of garbage again. I was disappointed with the first AVP, but it's "okay". I was actually angry watching AVP-R. We should all be proud that the great Stan's legacy was nowhere near that utter s^^t.

Completely off topic, but i was watching the bonus material on Alien Resurrection and Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, Sunshine, 28 Days Later, Slumdog Millionaire) was going to direct it. He declined, but man that might have helped that film. He may have made it..oh I don't know... scary!

I just hated how bulk and less sinister the predators were.

Totally agree with you, also the way Anderson potrayed the predators, who were being stalked rather than doing the stalking, there puppy dog eyes, body biulder physique..............and dont get me started on the slo-mo pred running scenes:banghead:rotfl

Do you know, for the movie predator 2.. Putting the Alien skull on the trophy case on the Predator ship was the idea of Stan Winston' as a way of showing off all the different species and creatures that the Predators have hunted and killed. Since Fox had owned the Alien franchise, it was easy to obtain the rights to use the Alien head in the film.

Except for the fact that he LOVES AvP...his 3rd favorite in the series. Dolt.
