I've received my first email solicitation to pre-order this trio of figures supposedly "designed by Redman." I responded by telling the proprietor how disappointed I am to see him selling recasts, and asking to be removed from the mailing list. I also let the proprietor know that I am encouraging fellow collectors not to patronize retailers who support recasting.

If anyone is thinking of responding to this with a pithy observation about stealing what's already stolen, don't even bother; I'll just add you to my ignore list.

I use to buy not often, but custom figures.From big sellers I have just Blitzway Carlito, Did Churchill and gangster, ht Jones.I love real artist figures(RM, Iminime, Bbkill, MJ,Inigou-Rahmiers, Scotty B)Sure I'll not support recaster companies attempts.

AFAIK, Denny commented on Redman's Facebook, but it was deleted by the time I saw it. . . unlikely that he was expressing positivity

Why would this Redman character bother to reach any agreement with DK? Unfortunately, in this hobby, custom companies like Iminime or individual artists are effectively helpless to prevent others reproducing (read: ripping off) their work. It must be a mighty kick to the nuts for those who put so much time, care and creativity into bringing us these pieces, but there's next to nothing they can do to protect themselves from unscrupolous leeches looking to cash in on another's efforts.

Secondly, if these figures were being released with input and permission from 'used to be Iminime', would that not represent a blatant slap to the face to those of us who shelled out a sizeable wedge for the original trio set? "Buy my limited edition figure set...and a few years from now I'll agree to let someone else release dirt cheap versions that look almost exactly the same to the untrained eye, thereby making your more expensive (and now not so unique) set much more difficult to sell on the aftermarket". Can't see it myself.

I'll ask again: Why isn't Denny commenting here ? These look so exacting. From head to toe. Only difference i see is possibly in the painting of the sculpt. Same costume. Pretty much even posed the same. I mean if Redman could steal from any source everywhere, why not use Rainman's superior B or U sculpts ? Why not add Rainmans Tuco hat. If this is a theft it is a full scale major theft. If it is the "slap in the face" that more likely would explain no comment here. The one line (that was deleted) from FB page, do we know is really the same Denny we know, who was such an active participant when he had something to sell ? He has not commented either way on his own FB page. Why not ? Hasn't he worked for other (bigger) companies ?
