I HAD BOTH IMINIME AND RECASTED HEAD
THERE IS NOT SO MUCH DIFFERENCE AS YOU WANT TO BELIEVE...
THE ONLY THING I AM SAYING IS THAT Iminime/MW/CK COULD SELL THEIR FIGURES FOR MUCH MORE LESS
AND AVOID ALL THESE RECASTERS...
PEOPLE WILL BUY THESE THINGS WITHOUT EVEN KNOWNING THE ORIGINAL ARTIST EXISTENCE
There seems to be a real sense of entitlement amongst some collectors. Like any other walk of life, if you can't afford something, or it's sold out, then...i'm sorry...you simply go without. You don't just wander off to the shady end of town and have a quick word with Gordon the stolen goods guy to see if he can get his grubby little hands on any for dirt cheap. That's basically what buying recasts amounts to for many people here.
Yes exactly this is my point
you have make already a major investment....
Why not take the next step and proceed with a mass production with preoders system....maybe because you want the easy money....???
$300 - $400 profit from each figure????
Why even bother with other people than the rich folks that are willing to spend this kind of money....
Thank you, and just recently I find the sense of entitlement just simply overwhelming - I can't afford this and that, so you must make it to my affordability, if can't make it to that pricetag it's your fault.....never blame yourself but always others lol

Where are you getting your insane profit forecast of 300-400.
Denny paid staff to sculpt the heads which were then shown to people for any alterations that needed doing, which if i recall was months of work. He had to pay for all of that, and the peoples wages each week regardless of how long it took, he always had to pay his people.
The tailoring was done in a short run by Iris, who doesn't make huge production runs, BUT you get what you pay for and the tailoring was top notch. The outfits alone would have cost Denny apprx 150, so just that on it's own puts you BS figure of 300-400 profit into the land of fantasy.
Redman didn't do any of this. They re-cast the heads, and if you think the final outfit you will get even comes close to the Iris outfit you really are deranged.
It seems to me that your actually quite pleased, and basically saying Denny deserves this in some way...? Because he is living on a yacht somewhere surrounded by naked lap dancers sipping cocktails and laughing at all of us while admiring his Ferrari on the dock.
I was about to post my view on this ignorance about Denny, but you covered my thoughts very well. Believe me, just from the photo's posted, you can plainly see that the quality of the clothing/materials is very poor. See it up close, I'm sure it will be much worse. The paint quality? Yeah right! Just sit back and wait to see what another company produces that is highly sought after, then copy it, and of course, sell it cheap! You think Redman is operating on a profit margin, might be 100%. Guess what? Your new "high quality" Blondie was just produced for $69. What a deal you got!Where are you getting your insane profit forecast of 300-400.

Sorry, but that's your opinion. It has no legal basis. If it's available on eBay and he can pay for it he's got it. By any legal standard he's a whole lot less guilty for possessing it than the guy who violated the copyright in the first place. Btw... Iminime, as with most of these others, made what they expected to make when they sold out their limited run. So I would not feel sorry for all their hard work. That's why you don't hear much crying from them. If HT had come along with a license and beat them to the punch before sold out or,released, perhaps I would feel sorry for them. It seems to be the purchasers doing all the crying. Further it seems there's only a dozen or so fans complaining calling for boycott. Take a look at eBay sales. How many of the resin recasts were sold ? How many of the China recasts have been sold ? Cotswold and Monkey Depot have these up for preorder. I consider them leaders in the 1:6 collector retail industry. What does that say ?...AND ...OF COURSE if you have this set already ,you don't need the Redman version....cept maybe the boots. There seems to be a real sense of entitlement amongst some collectors. I have the trio set and even though it is a $1,000 or more compared to the Redman set, I much rather have the highest quality and know that I supported the original artist/producer. In most cases, you get what you pay for, quality wise.
