I get where Batfan is coming from. This feels a little like HT doing a DX version of a popular figure right after the original version was released. I don't want to sell my Cowboy, I love my Cowboy. I especially don't want to sell it to fund the Trio, but it certainly feels like that is the way to go. Why hang on to your old Cowboy when you get new one with fancy packaging and a hidden item?

I think iminime are just trying to help out those who missed out on the original Cowboy figure? I don't think their intention at the beginning of this project was to release one stand alone figure, then release the same figure in a trio set latter on.

It was only people mainly on the freaks boards who said we need a Tuco + Angel Eyes, which made them produce those figures.
If tons of money was their goal then they would be releasing a lot more then 25 sets, which is super limited when you think of the numbers HT must release of a single DX figure.

No, I understand that, but, now, they're throwing "special items" in, specifically, for trio owners, and it's coming as sort of a slap in the face to those who bought their Cowboys earlier on. I'm not advocating that you guys don't get the special items, by the way, just that those who bought The Cowboy and are buying The Bad & The Ugly separately are afforded the same considerations as Trio owners.

The DX is the DX. That sculpt is unique to that ORIGINAL set and will not be re-offered.

The Price of the original Cowboy was ONLY $450. The cost of the
'new' cowboy is about $550. The $100 difference is exactly what it will cost for previous fullset owners to get the special item on its own. If you examine Denny's email he talks about it.

I agree with this, and a magnificent selling point it is! Those lucky enough to snag the trio don't have to pay the extreme secondary price for the figure. Hundreds of dollars in savings, that's pretty huge. I'm confident that Denny will see the merit in your argument and accommodate the patrons that picked up the OG Cowboy by offering the accessories.

I wasn't referring to the DX, though, and, I believe DKA was referring to a different sort of DX than that of The Cowboy, Omar. With that being said, I appreciate you taking the time to address this, and I'm glad to know that Denny is taking those previous Cowboy owners into consideration. Thanks for clearing that up!

Yeah, what about that whole argument that the value of the original sets would be maintained? Again, I don't care about value, but I certainly don't see how making the new figure available, essentially at cost allows for that to happen. Let's call a spade a spade--Denny is re-releasing Blondie to help meet untapped demand, and to help move some of his Tuco and Angel Eyes figures. Period. There is no real concern over those who bought the previous Blondie figures, but so what? And those who did buy these previously could do the same as Omar and sell them on EBay now to help fund the new sets if they wanted to, no doubt making more than they paid, so there is that option for current owners.

What I would really like to see are those sculpted boots being made available for boardies who picked up the first Blondie, though. I'm sure I could skip on the special item (I'm not paying $100 for some mystery item, anyway), but I would like a boot upgrade if possible.
