So the clothing will be done in-house. Who are the people working on the gun and boots? Can you post up some samples of their work?

Denny you also said you would consider raising the DX sets if enough people requested it. 20 DX sets seems very low. Please consider raising the edition size a bit if possible.

I think Chad is doing the gun and boots, check out Neo's boots from Iminime, he worked on those.

Chad is doing the boots, Trevor's friend Oliver is doing the Pistol. Chad's work is impeccable and I can safely say that the boots are more accurate than any other version out there.

Also me and Dane have gone about studying ALL the top versions of the 1/6 clothing for Blondie that was done by 3 most notable high quality makers of the Blondie Clothing Set namely Rainman, Addblue and Velvet Morning. We have seen and analysed their better and weaker points. With Denny finding the correct material and us double checking each cloth sample for the correct colour and pattern the attempt is to make the clothing the most definite one too... Some of the work planned by Denny on the clothing has not been attempted before by anyone. The idea is to fabricate each part of the clothing exactly as it was fabricated in the original screenused costume.

This a project close to all our hearts and behind the scenes work of research behind each detail was going on for months before this announcement. I hope you guys will love what will be the final result...

See, this is what, I believe, excludes some of the collectors from iminime's product line.

The prices are higher and are understandable, when one considers the talent and time involved and the lack of mass-produced revenue.

Dishing $500-600 for a figure is no easy task for me and, I assume, many others as well.

The "secret project" seems to have been in the works at least since late summer if I'm not mistaken. Were Denny to have announced it back then, stating that the proto would be unveiled in February-March, that would have given die hard Blondie fans ample time to save up by February.

Just thinking that such an approach might widen the customer base for iminime.

You just said another project with Trevor is being made. Why not announce it 3-4 months ahead of preorder? Introduce NRD to secure a preorder, or even flex pay.

Just my 2 cents.

I was actually thinking that they are announcing this too soon, considering that the time for payment is probably at least a couple of months away! But then, I understand that different collectors have different budgets. Seems like doing an NRD or flex-pay is beyond the scope of what Iminime is capable of right now, though, from a management point of view. They aren't a massive operation like Sideshow.

Due to Trevor's incredibly hectic, ever-changing schedule with SSC and other companies, there was no real time-frame to work with or even a rough release date. It takes him MUCH longer to knock out a sculpt than any in-house iminime sculptor, and nobody (not even Trevor) has any control over when the final product is finished. Same goes for the next project. This is why it was decided to wait until there was some light at the end of the tunnel to reveal.

I agree with this. It's not like Hot Toys where the pre-order is a year in advance on a $200 fig. We're talking 3 months on a $600 fig.

Yeah, I would speculate we're definitely looking at more than a couple weeks. I think at least 2 months seems likely at this point, the last element being the regular sculpt. And like I mentioned before, it's really at the mercy of Trevor's schedule.

Let me answer the points you have raised one by one

1. Yes the project was agreed as a go between Denny and Trevor months back BUT it would be foolish to announce anything concrete when it was just a word of mouth agreement at that time. Remember Trevor is a full time staff of Sideshow and he only took his offtime to sculpt this therefore it tooks months before the sculpt came to fruition. Without a proper confirmation of the main thing - the sculpt it would be foolhardy on our part to announce a project. MANY projects had been planned by many artists yet scrapped when due to schedule and other issues a sculpt was not created. How would it feel if Blondie was announced and then we had to scrap it?

2. The announcement happened once ONE of the sculpts were completed which meant we were secure that the project would happen. And with Trevor's schedule again the second sculpt will take some time again so completion of a proto and preorder period after that is far off if you see logically. Which gives people enough time for a month or two to save up. So I see this announcement perfectly timed and just right for all those who need to save that kind of money.

3. A NRD and FlexPay schedule is difficult to implement as Iminime doesnt have that kind of a large operation and it would raise more complications than solve it from their backend.

Just got up in the last few minutes. Hatted works for me. The Man With No Name pretty much trumps any of the Avenger crap I'd planned on buying in 2013.

Even if I don't wind up with one I'm still dying to see what this looks like when all is said and done.

I look forward to seeing more of Trevor--and everyone's work on this project.
I don't think I'll be able to afford it but I love being able to vicariously enjoy these private-run works from you guys.
