I've noticed that some of you take a liking to the movie charater's likeness before even watching the movie....

Sometimes the custom piece outweighs the source material in the minds of some. There was someone who said he is getting Moe's Dude stuff even though he has seen, and doesn't like the movie or character! Seems like a couple of people were getting Anton despite never seeing the film.

I can't deny his Bill is awesome, but most of his sculpts are not in the same caliber or even near it. I didn't say they are all bad, I said most are decent. Come to think of it, his Bill may be the only sculpt I admire... maybe Vincent too, just maybe. Don't ask me "what about [insert another rainman sculpt]?" The answer is no!


Truthfully, some of his sculpts had huge potential and it is sad to see them miss the mark.

His Doc is one of the good ones, but it doesn't quite capture Kilmer as much as I'd like. Still, good sculpt.

Id rather see him as Dirty Harry, one of the reasons I had lobbied for the unhatted DX sculpt to happen...

Dirty Harry is in my top 3 wants. Please make Denny make him...

Haha... if you say so! Doc was the MUST HAVE Rainman figure for me. Aaaand I nabbed one despite being late to his sale so I had to get it off a previous owner. Love it!

Beto's Beetlejuice looks amazing. It made me actually rent the movie. Liked the movie... but didn't fall in love with the Beetlegeuse character. :X

It's probably not a character that would suck someone in later in life if you're just watching it for the first time now; but those who were the right age in the late '80s to mid '90s when there was a big BJ craze (cartoon & such) are all over this. BJ = BIGTIME NOSTALGIA!

I get a kick out of that . A movie and character has to be important to me to add the fig to my collection. I guess we all have our own collecting habits and rhyme & reason and whatnot. I suppose I can see that point of view though. There are 3 pieces that I really dig without being really connected to the source material. RM's Doc; I almost pulled the trigger on this several times. I love the piece like crazy but I'm not nuts about the movie, although the character is cool. One day I'm gonna break for him. I've never seen or heard of the movie but Mags' Babyface is such a cool figure it makes me want to buy the fig first and the DVD after. Same goes for Serang's Van Gogh. I dig some paintings, no real connection but for some reason that figure is call my name...

Rainman's Doc is a great figure of course. However, Rainman's Blondie doesn't look anything like Clint. I don't know why people love this figure. It is the worst facial likeness IMO. (in the other hand, Angel eyes is pefect).

Damn I love that figure! I know one day I'm going to see a DX up for around retail and I'm gonna jump on it. I would have a long time ago if the movie hit me harder. I know that there are a lot of TS fans here and everyone wants a Ringo & Earp to complete the circle but I think the movie is just pretty average; just my opinion . Doc is by far the most colorful character in the movie and I do like him in it. I just wish I liked the movie as a whole a bit more to justify grabbing a Doc

I agree, good likeness and its not just the full wardrobe either. I have seen guys post the sculpt on other bodies and all i see is Doc...I am a Val Kilmer fan....top gun, tomb stone, and heat in that order....best Kilmer has done!

I'm with you. Pretty good character, memorable performance, but the movie wasn't a masterpiece of its time or anything. There are lots of great westerns out there (including the Leone films with Eastwood), there are even a handful of great modern western films, but I wouldn't place Tombstone among their ranks.

Yes sir!! The DX and the regular will be available for the non VIP's.. The DX in a very little run. My guess is going to be 10 DX sets available. But I really don't know the exact quantity.

I loved the movie Tombstone. Of course, it's not in the category of the GBU films, Unforgiven, 3:10 to Yuma, etc. but I don't think it was meant to be. Sometimes it's hard to take a non-fictional set of events and do justice to it without drastically altering history. These other movies can be very liberal with their storyline since they are fictional.
