I love the banter and energy that InArt seems to have invoked among collectors. Good time to be a collector in my opinion, with the Reeves tease.. wow!
I understand your concern, but you picked a photograph that's obscured in darkness and harsh lighting, of course it's going to look good in these conditions. It's the best picture, in fact it's the one that sold me on the figure. But look at every other picture in bright lighting, with a head on angle and no fancy posing. Then the flaws will start to show. The shine doesn't come through either, so the figure looks dull and a lot more lacking than how it does in that photograph, where there's a play of light and shadows. This looks like a person in a suit, more so than the majority of 1/6 renditions of him. It doesn't look like an over musculature or overly painted action figure.
Agreed. Things havn't been this exciting in so long.I love the banter and energy that InArt seems to have invoked among collectors. Good time to be a collector in my opinion, with the Reeves tease.. wow!
Truthfully, I have no concerns. I'm happy with the product that InArt is delivering. Let's take these photos, for example. I cropped it so it's focused solely on the build of the body and the suit. Anybody can disagree how the suit and build are not perfectly screen accurate, especially in musculature, but this is one of the most natural builds I have seen on a 1/6 Superman.I understand your concern, but you picked a photograph that's obscured in darkness and harsh lighting, of course it's going to look good in these conditions. Subtlety is key. @potatocorner4life edit shows how these subtle change can make a world of difference.
I disagree with you on every level. There's room for so much improvement. Let's not pick the darkest photograph with the most precise lighting and posing to base our judgement on.
Thank you very much , I honestly don’t have too much of a problem when it comes to the suit color and other tiny details on the body. The color especially can be referenced from different lighting so inart is pretty close.Truthfully, I have no concerns. I'm happy with the product that InArt is delivering. While potato did an amazing job recreating changes to match the body suit from the movie more accurately, I wouldn't consider most of the changes he did subtle, by any means, from InArt's perspective. It would be great for InArt to implement some of those changes but I don't see them taking the time and development to go through with it.
I think the point is, are we going for Henry Cavill's on screen body / look for this figure or a human form that looks "natural" ??Truthfully, I have no concerns. This photo for example, the calves are accurate and so are the thighs. Only difference is the angle and that real Henry has his legs closer together. I don’t know if the screen suit also hat padding for the thighs, like it did for the upper body. But if you all want Cavills real proportions resembled, then I think for the legs it’s fine.In other words Superman doesn’t skip leg day.

Guys I'm SHOCKED!!!!!!!
Danoby is saying on his live stream that inart used the hot toys body and suit for the prototype
I really don't know if this guy is a really bad troll or a complete moron I really don't know
I don't watch Danoby a lot, I've only seen him on other collectors live streams but he seems to have a strong bias against inart. I did happen to see that particular Livestream and those accusations were ridiculous, dude had some UFO conspiracy energy lol.
What bothered me the most was him saying inart isn't doing anything to innovate when Hot Toys at times puts out some the laziest stuff, reusing old sculpts (Cavill 3x) repurposing old bases for different figures, terrible flight stands that damages suits etc.
Also he kept saying this Superman isn't worth $400, when he was enthusiastic to buy the Hot Toys Joker for $500+, also seemed to have no issues with the price of Artisan Scarlet Witch either. I dunno, the dude comes off as a Hot Toys fanboy and I can't believe I'm saying this but the whole Hot Toys vs Inart situation is giving off strong Sony Vs Microsoft console war vibes.
Fun fact: BVS Superman is played by Henry Cavill. That is where they get their references for the head and bodyI think comparing the figure to the actor isn't really worth anything, especially if they are enhanced in the role.
It's not 'InArt Henry Cavill Sixth Scale Figure' it's 'InArt BvS Superman Sixth Scale Figure'
But it's Henry Cavill in a muscle suit. This is what they figure should look like, it's based on a 3d scan from that suit reference photo shoot. I left the arms and cape out because this is from a posed statue.Fun fact: BVS Superman is played by Henry Cavill. That is where they get their references for the head and body
For me, better price and reward system b/c I use their sister site, ShowZ, for most of my transformer purchases and the RPs are usable across both sites. Not to mention, I’m a premium member there so I get 3x the reward points. They’re reliable and ship well in my experience. They also have incredible customer service and help with getting replacement parts is pretty easy with no hassle. Not to mention, the deposit is only $3 vs the higher amount that other stores are charging. Why are people going with Gundamit over KG or Kit? I'm out of the loop, haven't really been following this release, this figure is at the point where it's really good but lacking, but Kit has a late October pre-order cut off.
You might have missed the comparisons a couple pages back. Yes he looks “natural” and a human being but not the physique of the actor who plays Superman. What is it with the leg fetish in this thread.
Seriously it’s not that the figure has chicken legs. And to say those legs look like skipping leg day is ridiculous.

Same angle, both standing up. His legs are “fine” but not accurate. And for $400 you’d expect a bit more.

Exactly thank you, Henry Cavill in a muscle suit. This should have been referenced more from inarts body. But it's Henry Cavill in a muscle suit. My point is, this is what they’re referencing. Actor in a suit, nothing more nothing less. So it’s reasonable if we call out something inaccurate.Fun fact: The body on the left isn't the physique of the actor either
