I don't know why, but I never liked this angry headsculpt expression they opted for. Could have done the look he had just after destroying Batfleck's turrets. It's subtle, but totally shows he's Superpissedman now.View attachment 666375
I'm fine with the angry one. I do like the look you posted but if you remove the glowing eyes it's stern, not angry.

I'm not convinced. Sure it looks great, but look at how many lights it takes to get that shine to come through. All within close distance too.

Just no. They need to rework the fabric to allow more of that chrome to pass in minimal lighting. I'm not setting up an entire Doctor Octopus rig only so I could get this figure to look how it's supposed to.

Personally I don't get why y'all are obsessed with that shine, there are more important aspects which need improvements. Shine looks totally fine to me, HT figure doesn't shine much under the regular lighting either. They probably used best option for the fabric to avoid damages and cracks overtime. HT BvS Superman looks like a total mess by now with that brown collar, I might just bury that figure and use the body for Geralt.

To be fair, that's exactly how chrome reacts and works? Metallic property is completely run by lighting. Chrome is more or less a mirror. The "shine" you see is the light source being reflected off of it. If there's not enough light, there's no chrome or white "shine" to reflect back to your eyes.

For example, you don't see his suit showing any silver or shine on his shoulders here in this scene because there's no light to reflect from. Compared to the Batmobile scene that has a very strong head light pointed right at him, showing it off the most. Lighting is very much how that "shine" is controlled on his suit.

I do think it can still be pushed just a bit but they're really not that far off.

It's certainly a unique look, but it's also HIGHLY dependent on lighting. The suit is pinging a lot in those pictures, but that's because it has really bright point lights right up against it. Put it in less contrasted lighting and it might start looking flat again.

Exactly...it's almost like that's how lighting works in real life o_O

Indeed bro, that's the best way to put it.

Exactly. That's why I don't understand when ppl complain. Chrome needs intense lighting to shine

Look...I dunno why people are so obsessed with his thighs and whatnot like it makes or breaks the figure...

But this thing right here just screams Cavill Superman.

He looks absolutely incredible here.

I am certain he will look better in hand and after another few months of work.
I'm the other way around. I don't understand not being super picky on such things for such an expensive item. If I wanted close enough I would just buy a cheap figure.

CR Superman's part is left to right as you've demonstrated. I didn't read through all the comments, so I might have misinterpreted which other Superman posters thought it could have been in the photo, I was just making the point that it wasn't Henry Cavill's Superman since his part is right to left.

If they are making any other Superman, I would be surprised that it wouldn't be CR, although I did read his license is getting very hard to acquire these days.

Started my Snyder collection Superman with the Black Transcendent , next was the Black suit Hot Toys 2 pack next was my favorite the JL version and finally the superb Man Of Steel .
Since I never picked up the BVS version this is perfect for me not to mention this should crush all of the other versions !

I've seen enough. I will be posing this guy in squatting poses

Because...

Big thighs save lives.

The figure is actually really good. If there's something minimal to adjust it's the neck width. If they don't, I'm fine with it.
Thighs checked, neck width hopefully but it does look taller than the protos which is great (I hope it’s not just camera distortion). Making the shoulders a tad bit farther apart will help too, but the #1 proportion change is fixed this is such amazing news.

He will better after a few months because of the feedback us collectors have helped given them.

He is $400 and for that price without rooted he needed a good custom body. The old body was not good but it is so much more accurate now. Headsculpt is a 10/10 but isn’t going to look well if the body was a 6/10.
