Yeah, the Fractal case was recommended in the build guide that I was using at the time, it's been 10+ years. When so many of the other cases had windows or some other gimmick, that was just about the only one that was plain and simple.

For the monitors, I was using two older Dells, couldn't tell you the name. They're IPS monitors, and I really like them because the colors seem pretty accurate. I do a lot of graphic design, so I have one monitor be my design software and the other is the document I'm referencing.

Work sent me replacement monitors, since the ones I have are so old they don't have HDMI ports to connect to my work laptop, but the ones they sent me are pretty cheap Dells with black that are dark grey, and it seems to push warm, and I can't seem to fix it. Work offers a stipend to upgrade WFH equipment, so I've been thinking about upgrading my own monitors, but the stipend isn't enough for two monitors, but is enough for one. Decisions, decisions ...

Anyone playing Star Citizen? The gameplay variety at least looks good (although, I think I find more entertainment from watching other people play it :lol).

I recently returned to Elite Dangerous and DCS World. MechWarrior 5 is also incredibly fun once you mod it into a proper sandbox experience.

Oh man, I think the last time I played this was around 2 years ago? For the longest time I kept coming back (every couple of months or so) in hopes that the game had updated to being playable at least. Sad to say I was usually disappointed. Every time I downloaded and played it, I was constantly greeted with the same game breaking glitches that had been there since day 1.
Eventually started seeing the "game" as the cash grab scam it is, and gave up on it.
It's hard to believe Star Citizen is still in development after all these years. Same goes for Squadron 42. The sad thing is, it had a lot of potential too, but the game is something you'd jump into with a friend to play for a few hours, and then set it aside for another year or two in hopes that it would get some more substantial updates....which never seems to happen.
But hey, at least Chris Roberts (game founder) seems to be enjoying his multi-millionaire lifestyle. lol
I will admit the game is gorgeous though. And the ships are pretty interesting. At least it has that going for it.

It's insane that it's still in alpha stage after all of these years. I read that the development budget had surpassed $700 million?! The whole thing does seem pretty scammy, and it's what prevented me from actually buying it.

I saw on YouTube that some cargo doors that were promised over a decade ago were finally released in the latest update. But, apparently, they don't even work properly :lol.
