What's really interesting is that Black Adam (without being released in China) made twice as much as James Gunn's Suicide Squad. Yet Gunn got to be the DC Exec running the show. He also got rid of Cavill and Batfleck.

DC is going to be great going forward !!

Man most of those films are forgettable or flat out bad imo. I love DC but not a fan of the DCEU. it's crap

That's a very rosey interpretation of what Inart is doing ;)

One could easily accuse Inart of doing what many criticize Hot Toys of doing, being greedy and safe, by basing their entire 2-3 year plan on IP that have already been explored and executed to various degrees of success by other companies.
Seeing as InArt only have the WB license (I think) and HT have a monopoly on most of the other popular franchises, what else could InArt do? It's not greedy to want a successful business and InArt are the ones who pushed the limits of 1/6 with high end rooted figures, so they're not being that safe either. Hot Toys got in to the rythym of 'make product quickly before interest drops off' and pretty much stagnated for a long time.

Good thing we are getting an InArt Cavill Superman to represent the "good old days".....

How does one value the DCEU? That’s going to be a personal answer. For me MoS/BvS/ZSJL is about tied with Peter Jackson’s LotR as my favorite fantasy adventure film experience. It comments on the comic book and superhero film genres in a way that strikes a deep chord with me. Most of the rest of the DCEU is for me either mid or bad. 2017 WW I can enjoy but I have no real desire to rewatch it, tbh. Hopefully Ayer’s cut of SS (which the other day he tweeted James Gunn told him will eventually get released when the time is right for the reboot) will be something I‘ll want to rewatch. The rest of the films I don’t care about.

I think Wonder Woman is a good movie. Not great like a lot of people do. It would be nice to have a good version of Suicide Squad so we can have a block of 5 congruent movies.

Barbie and Oppenheimer are showing that the problem certainly isn't people not going to the movies. The Flash doesn't deserve the scathe that it's receiving, however it's DC predecessors and "Miller" time have clearly injured it's box office.

Good move on InArt to bring out the Cavill Supes before the next guy does his thing but I'm not seeing enough to warrant a replacement in my collection.

Wonder Woman you say?

Even though some people weren't keen on the Amazonian lamentation music Holkenberg came up with for ZSJL, it's obvious after all these cameos during static scenes that something was needed and the beginning of this theme screaming out at full blast all the time has been way too much!

In the first 2 examples the music works great as it's the start of the action and the pace ramps up, but the other 2 are so comical because the scene doesn't go anywhere and the music doesn't know what to do with itself and just fades out..

Exactly! Where as something like this at 2:02 would have given her a theme without smashing you in the face with it.

I thought the purpose of the WW theme WAS to be in-your-face. I feel like were watching different movies. I get you may not like the character or the actress but that shouldn't detract from the purpose of why the theme was used in Shazam and Flash.
