MoS is my favorite of Cavill's suits as well. Too bad the only high end items we have to choose from are the original HT, Sideshow's PF and the 1:1 bust from QS. I asked QS if they'd consider making a 1/4 or 1/3 MoS Statue and they said "Stay Tuned," but that seems to be like their blanket reply when anyone asks for anything
Yea, but that wasn’t a licensed statue if I remember correctly and physique seemed a little idealized too me. They also just scanned and upscaled the HT headsculpt instead of making their own, which didn’t sit right with me. The paint quality of that statue didn’t wow me either. Looked very much done by a hobbiest vs professional to me.
Of course not for his real physique in the movie. But I’m talking about the custom ResinWorx statue not being very accurate to how he looked in the suit. A little too defined in the musculature, a little too big in the arms and too much shading paint wise. And when you look at their heat vision sculpt, you can understand why they just recasted and upscaled the HT head for the neutral head. It’s a nice statue, but not a very screen accurate representation. Looks more like a mish mash of comic inspired interpretation of the Man of Steel look. Sort of like a lot of that Jim Lee comic art merchandise that came out for The Batman
Prefer this suit way more also. It's not padded like his BvS/JL suit as this shows his actual physique.
The MoS suit actually still is padded in the same way the others are. The difference being that the silver chrome muscle suit used in MoS was based on a cast of Cavill’s actual physique that they tweaked, unlike BvS and JL where the costume designers sculpted their own, larger muscle suit for those costumes.
I had a feeling it was more for the chrome finish to shine through the suit but that's what I meant it's not padded with fake muscles designed more so his own.
No, they’ve mentioned before that even though he’s muscular, his muscles didn’t show through the suit enough how they wanted it to, so this is what they came up with. So, it’s still fake muscles, just not as comicbooky and large like the later suits. The silver chrome was for the “suit of armor” metallic effect
They wanted it skin tight to show the definition I'm sure. Though that's what they did eventually with the rock seeing as he didn't need padding. Still MOS suit was the preferred look over BvS and JL hope that's still a possibility with Inart.
It was cool but I could do without the Kryptonite cuffs.
That’s not a fair picture to use though as that suit is meant for the flying scenes and harness. Just like those early photos of Sasha Calle in her Supergirl suit didn’t look great at all either b/c they were also of her in the flying suit vs how good she actually looks in her normal suit. That said, I’ve said before, that I prefer the MoS suit and know that they made the muscles less natural on the later BvS and JL suits
That’s his removable pouch so he can go to the bathroom as far as I know, if that’s what you’re referring to. Was less apparent on the MoS suit though. Buckle looks smaller b/c the muscle suit being bigger, but it’s pretty much the same size as the one on the MoS suit
