Love all those edits except the colour. I hope InArt don't change that. The colour they've gone for is much more satisfying.

That was my only complaint with the BvS suit. In some shots it looked so drained of colour. Even the black suit in ZSJL looked more vibrant with the pop of silver to contrast against the black.

Seeing all these edits is going to lead to people being disappointed. They'll make changes, but I doubt they will take it to this extreme.
Agreed.

The great thing so far is everyone is giving out constructive criticism and suggestions and being awesomely respectful to not just people in the community, but also IA.

The danger, however, is that people are gonna fall in love with these community notes and revisions that by the time this figure comes out and either SOME revisions were applied OR god forbid, NONE…well, I fear that’ll be the moment the pitchforks come out, torches will be lit.

I’m loving these notes and revisions. If IA manages to implement half of them, i’ll be happy as a camper.

And to be completely honest, if they didn’t, I’ll be bummed, but will still enjoy the figure because it’s still a good looking figure due to the phenomenal portraits.

Gotta hope for the best, but brace ourselves for “the worst”.

Bro they say it to everyone all the time. They said it to me 20 times 😂😂

Bu…but they said that to me too! …are you telling me…I wasn’t the only one??

Why you gotta mess it up for us Hando!?! Let us enjoy feeling special dammit!!

If they think Cavill feedback was intense....

@potatocorner4life your brilliant edit is making waves over on Facebook. Seen a number of people posting and hopefully enough people are messaging that it attracts Inart's attention.

When people ask, I tell them the credit goes to potato. I don't know if you've got another name you go by, because people chuckle when I say that.

my assumption is they aren’t going to make any of these tweaks. A lot of these things were suggested after the first proto pics but the changes they made were to the sculpt and size of the S mainly. We should honestly be happy they even made those changes because that sculpt update was significant. If they didn’t make these tweaks in the first revision I don’t know why they would make them in the second revision. A lot of the things being asked are very tiny and not abundantly clear, things like “make the headsculpt better” are clear but other things like “make the suit darker” everyone doesn’t agree with. The main thing that is easy to communicate is that the suit isnt shiny enough and the muscles aren’t pronounced enough, but that was thoroughly suggested after the first prototype and didn’t get fixed. I think most likely you can’t get 1/6 material to behave the way the screen used material worked. I know hot toys tried this but I don’t think it looks close to screen accurate. Modding via repaint will most likely be the only answer similar to the reference posts made previously.

I'm worried if they start pumping out so many at a time the quality will go down. There goes the hope to fix superman

That’ll all depend on how ‘hands on’ Viper is with the production of each figure. I’d like to believe he was intimately involved with most, if not all the portraits of their 1st phase and would go to the factories to make sure everything is up to his standards: From the molding and casting process to the paint application.

when you consider the fact he himself is an artist and has made figures with his own hands, I’m CONFIDENT that is what he does: in the trenches and on the field.

He’s not just a CEO pointing fingers saying “That. Yes, that. Go make that.”

I’m sure any freelance artist HERE that has sculpted something and partnered up with someone to make multiples of their work would demand to see the 1st batch to make sure NOTHING was lost in the molding and casting process. I expect no less from Viper.

As their consumer base expands, so will their team and factory access. A dip in quality won’t come from the factories or workload. It all comes down to WHO is over seeing the entire production. With Viper, an artist that’s intimately familiar with toy design and manufacturing at the helm, I’m sure the quality will remain consistent.

BUT at a certain point, Viper’s creative director/lead artist’s role will be reduced over time and probably take on a more…producer role. So the responsibilities of making sure their products maintain Viper’s standards will fall on the people he hired to take over his position. THAT is when it’s time to get concerned.

Viper has stated numerous times about having shorter turn around times so collectors can get their figures shortly after reveal. I mean…technically he did live up to that with Joker. That figure was revealed in 2022 and people received it in 2022…..AND 2023 because of batches 😅😅. The thing to take away from that is: shorter turn around times IS possible. Now they just gotta fine tune it so figures come out faster and maintain that quality.

I ain’t a-feared or anything for the next 2-3 years. InArt has my full trust and confidence.

$7.40 to ship to the UK according to their site. Tempted to get a second one to display one with the standard suit Batman and Wonder Woman and one battling the armoured suit Batman....assuming they make both versions of Bats.
That's why I got 2 as well 😉

Whilst I agree with already making revisions from the first reveal to official reveal: adjusting the portrait and emblem size…those were relatively easy and ‘simple’ modifications because all it involves is “sculpting and painting” right? I assume modifications to body size, neck, shoulder, thighs as well as the suit are more complex and involved and I’m sure there was a deadline IA had to contractually meet. (i am talking completely out of my ***. All assumptions😅)

I bet IA are willing to make tweaks…but the tweaks have to be within THEIR capabilities and budget.

I think if anyone is buying this in the hope of what the figure "could" be instead of the images that are in front of them... then they are setting themselves up for disappointment whether Inart make changes or not.

Also that Gun Damit price is too tempting god dammit, especially the NRD and shipping to UK - I've caved and pre-ordered.
Cavill looked brilliant in the role, and I know had he better material he would be remembered alongside Reeve as an iconic Superman, MOS was [in my opinion] a little misunderstood and unappreciated and his more human moments in ZSJL were very touching.
The figure does look good, maybe not as "wow" as their others so far [to me at least] but still easily the best Cavill Superman out there.

Is this gundamit sure reliable do we know?
They’re reliable. Have bought numerous non 1/6 figures from them before. They’re very well known in the Transformers community. A lot of third party and official products both through Gundamit and Showz, which is their main site. Even had a part that was defective out of the box and they had it replaced it no issue a few weeks later.

Thanks for that. I would like to stick with Kit but there’s going to be a hefty shipping fee from him I’ve been informed, due to my location.

May have to look into an alternative with up front shipping fees known.
