Some of the in art haters are kind of fanatical , myself I collect any and all brands that make the best figure for my collecting taste .
💯

Agreed. Despite their figures having certain/some inaccuracies or inadequacies, they’re still producing the best stuff in the licensed and mass produced 1/6 game. Haters gonna hate though.

Even with its avoidable flaws, its still better than HTs efforts. If and when HT makes their 2.0 and its better than this, I'll get that one as well.

I had the same issue with mine regarding the collar. It bothered me so much I just ended up gluing the suit over the holes and made sure to align it perfectly and now there is no unsightly gap where the cape slots in.
So got my fourth Superman… and he has a huge gap at collar. At first I thought suit was stretched and tried to rearrange but didn’t work. Then removed the suit and saw that one hole is higher than another which causes the wonk. Should I complain with Kit? He’ll roll his eyes lol
This is a complicated situation, if I’ll ask for replacement they need to send entire body as suit is glued on and I’m not going to remove it to switch the body. Sculpt is absolutely perfect.

I think comparing back to Hot Toys’s prior releases isn’t fair despite them complacently reusing the same 2016 Cavill sculpt for their 2021 Knightmare 2-pack release.

I bet the prospective HT BvS 2.0 will be good. However, for me personally, I still prefer how In/Art makes their figures in the head-to-head matchups. Horrible example probably (I mean it makes sense to me lol) but it’s kinda like how I see vehicle models and makes. I’m a Mustang guy vs a Camaro guy despite thinking the Camaro has certain features that I prefer better than Mustang, but overall, I prefer Mustang’s design language. Or 4Runner (what I have) vs Wrangler. The Jeep does things better on the trails vs 4Runner, but it doesn’t matter to me, cause I prefer everything else about 4Runner and 4Runner is still great on the trails/mountain driving/etc.

Imo, the only real pros HT that IA doesn’t currently posses is their established reputation, decent and consistent QC and their ability to really nail a likenesses in terms of sculpt work when they do get it right (which is few and far between, imo). Every other facet of 1/6, I give it to IA.

I’ll probably do the same thing, once I put him on display. Annoying af and still can’t figure out what causes it. As others have said holes are molded. At first I thought one hole was higher than another and that was a reason for wonk, but probably I’m hallucinating idk.

So great news for those, like me, who feel like IA's Superman shoulders are a little too narrow. The shoulder has a muscle plate that can pop off! Makes it super easy to mod. I popped off both plates (left and right) and just added a piece of foam 3M tape inbetween the shoulder and armor plate. This gave just enough extra width for my liking. NOT suggesting this is necessary, it's just my preference.

I also noticed, having ordered two figures together from OSK, that one figure has better tailored sleeves with no bunching or loose spots out of the box. The other figure had wonky arms in the box and slightly baggier sleeves that I'm still trying to massage into better shape. In the picture above you can see the stock figure on the right with the slightly looser sleeves. I noticed this figure had the piece of plastic between armpit and arms in the box for protection, while the slightly better figure had a plastic sleeve over the whole bicep protecting it. So maybe different batches? It's not a big deal at all. Just mentioning the slight variations.

Oh wow that’s pretty neat. Didn’t think it would just pop off the shoulder like armor. Will have to give this a try. Gives the narrow shoulders a much needed width boost.

Was removing the suit off the shoulders easy? Worried it might rip in the process. Appreciate you sharing this.

Receiving mine next week and will be doing this immediately. Glad it is simple to do!

I just went slow and pressed a thumb over the front collar when sliding it over the chest so as not to tear it when pulling it down.

glad mine had plastic over bicep if it’s a later batch

Great find @rory :clap looks so much better now

Probably different batches as I think InArt said the plastic between the armpit would be changed out after someone posted a pic on their FB about the damage their figure incurred from taking off those small plastic pieces. I haven’t taken them off mine as I’m hesitant but I guess I should in case I need to get a replacement

Yeah, my plastic sleeve slid right off, no sticking at all. The one with the tiny plastic squares however, peeled off. Granted it didn't stick or damage the suit or anything. But I could see how it could for some.

I would love to see Hot Toys develop a 2.0 with their best effort but I wouldn't be surprised if they scrap it in favor of the new movie design. Especially considering how well the trailer itself is being received on social media.

Which makes me super happy to have the InArt version.
