Dangerous Tour, so vitiligo was slightly more evident than "BAD".

I was also hoping for updates on this, I did email them about it but got no reply. We'll see I guess. I personally hope it still gets to release.
What do you think? I wish it…

looking at how they are doing the Dune figure, I imagine this will have an exclusive accessory only for their website as well since it’s a global license.

I really hope they do smooth criminal.

Obviously the version everyone wants. Yes, above Thriller, Moonwalker and Bad.

Smooth Criminal is, imo, the definitive MJ.

You'll likely get it after they've exhausted the other versions. Or not. Who knows. He's not a celebrity I ever considered owning a figure of because of how FUBAR his license is.

Just kinda accepted I won't be owning any HQ 1/6 MJ's.

Really can’t wait for this. But I actually think Smooth Criminal is his most boring look—it’s just a guy in a suit 🤷🏻‍♂️. But I am planning to get every version they do, and hopefully they are intending to do a few different looks. My “grail” outfit would actually be Captain EO, but I’m sure there’s all sorts of Disney legal hurdles that would prevent it from ever happening and, most likely, even being something a 1/6 company would seriously consider. Also would love the Remember the Time outfit!

On recent interview John spoke about this and the MJ licence. Everyone knows that MJ estate is very particular about the MJ likeness.

What I found interesting is Jon confirmed the 2nd version will be shown hopefully at SDCC and it's a famous music video but not Thriller, bad or Billie Jean.... So I'm guessing Smooth criminal.

He did say the reason it's not been shown since is because the estate is being very picky in making it perfect.

This is great news as Smooth Criminal is my personal favorite look for him. Very hopeful.

Great suggestions! A more niche option that I'd love to see would be the concert outfit from Another Part of Me... 🔥

In order of preference:
1. Thriller—regular/2-pack (regular+zombie)/3-pack (regular+zombie+werewolf)
2. Bad
3. Smooth Criminal
4. Dangerous/Superbowl
5. Billie Jean

Bonus
6. J5 (@ tween or teen yrs--5 Pack + Marlon, Jermaine, Tito and Jackie - Randy)

Makes sense it would be Smooth Criminal since that's the license and version Hot Toys acquired years ago. Must be a version that the estate really likes for him.

So bizarre that they're against Billie Jean and Thriller though. They're both also his most iconic looks. INART could do a fun figure with the Thriller version by having a swap out zombie head sculpt and a torn up swap out jacket. Even do swap out seamless green zombie painted forearms. Missed opportunity.
