Good grief they left Joaquin’s autograph on the journal. :slap

Yeah, the more I look at the pictures and videos I'm about 99% sure I won't be paying off the balance on this.
I have the Artisan Hot Toys ordered as well so lets see if that lives up to the prototype.

Like you though, I'm worried for future releases as I already have pre-orders in for Paul, Legolas and 3x Nazgul.
Well, the Nazguls should be fine, right? 😅

It never is, because of their QC
I was nervous af than being excited or happy while unboxing my Supes last Friday (I'll talk about it in it's thread), so couldn't agree more.

Battinson will be delivered over the weekend. Hopefully there are no QC issues with him too. ****!!!

I’m starting to feel a bit anxious, I preordered the two pack and the unboxing video didn’t really wow me, I saw some posts talking about how it’s a lighting, hair styling problem but I can’t help but feel that it doesn’t give me the same energy as the earlier prototype.

Not sure if I should just cut my losses now XD

They improved certain things from the prototype, things I had mentioned in my post on FB. Pretty cool to see.

If only I’m able to get my hands on the red suit Joker. Since it seems like most of you don’t like this (go figure), if anyone is selling or parting out, I’d be interested in the solo red suited figure lol

Wow, didn’t get this one, but what was changed? Can’t tell if sculpt is drastically different or if this first look figure’s paint is dogs**t compared to the prototype. One thing I can point to is the hair. His forehead got even bigger!

Flame me for the lousy comp, Idc, but they did improve things:

The red eyebrows are lower now. The blue eyelashes are now present! The hairline is a bit straighter across, less widow’s peak. More of a gap between the hair and where the white make up ends, probably making the forehead seem larger. And this might just be lighting or my own eyes playing tricks on me, but I think they also darkened the diamonds color. Not the right shade of teal-ish blue as I would’ve liked to see, but not as light color as before. And same deal, but I think the saturation of the red paint on the nose and mouth is darker.

Strictly talking portrait here, but they also cleaned up the shirt collar which they said they’d do shortly after I posted my couple of constructive feedback posts in their FB group. Pretty cool to see the improvements.

Edit: That being being said, I think some of these improvements could’ve been done better, but overall, I think it’s now better than the prototype. I’d take these improvements. I’m aware most of you guys will disagree and that’s alright.

Add me to the growing pile of NRD-eaters.
I put down a £132 deposit for the 4-pack and owe around £1,215.

I’d rather spend that money on one stellar looking JND figure than 4 InArt disappointments. Murray Show Joker’s neck is so friggin’ long now. Only the bathroom figure looks worthy of ownership.

This debacle won’t help InArt’s alleged financial issues or perpetually declining reputation one bit.

Ngl I'm struggling to see the downgrade that people are talking about with the red coat version.

Outside of the difference in lighting, camera, paint placement and styling of the rooted hair, it looks to be the exact same base sculpt without any adjustments to it. The nose, the lips, everything is the exact same as the prototype.

As a matter of fact, I think the hairline on the production is now more accurate compared to the sharper widow peak they were doing on the prototype. They also moved down the red painted eyebrows on the forehead and the blue arrow eye marks were adjusted slightly.

If you were happy enough with the prototype to put down $300, I don't see what's changed here. Outside of the sequel being complete **** but that's an entirely different topic.

Yeah, I have to say, after catching up with 3-pages, that I don't see too much difference in the red suit sculpt... except that the hair has too much product and looks too greasy.

But y'all should be expert hairstylists by now with InArt.

Certain improvements were made (albeit not all of them perfect) and overall it’s better now, but Idk, some people will see what they want to see. This is all subjective I guess.

It’s only in here (small population) where the majority will say it’s disappointing. On FB, the majority are in favor of it, aside for the few loud vocal minority – most of which are always biased against In/Art.

They’ll be fine. Generally speaking, check it off as another win for In/Art.

Literally the same sculpt with more accurate makeup (though still off).

The main issue is that they rounded the hairline above the temple too much, should be more angular at the corners and not so wide.

"They" just like coming out of the woodwork whenever it's an InArt release.

It's a common occurrence now.
