Congrats to those who are getting this. I had seen both sets available on OSK a couple days ago and logged on yesterday to PO but no longer available. I done goofed.

My ideal display would’ve been red suit Joker on stairs dio. If I ever see people parting it out for a reasonable price, I’ll try to get it

really contemplating if i wanna spend $1200 on the 2-pack... at $600 a figure even if its rooted, its a lot more than i initially intend on spending. Help lol

just another day

i only really collect horror, batman/joker stuff and mild star wars. my wallet is safe but customs on the other hand... lol
Yeah. That's not mentioning customs 🫣 (Lest we get in trouble).

I'm also selective with what I collect. But a lot of the figures releasing now are heavy hitters that appeal to the same crowd more or less.

Ledger, Phoenix, Sparrow, Atreides..

Not your average schlock.

im only expecting star killer, 4 pack phoenix, jnd, hot toys ledger for now

i dont think i have anything else that are coming soon that I know of. i don't really keep track, I just let the invoices come when they come. makes it for a nice surprise lol

the invoice for 4 pack was a surprise lol I wasn't expecting it till after CNY but I guess not many people ordered because of the price point so they were able to get it out quicker. hopefully the QC doesn't suffer if the production units are less

How are you guys holding up?

All these Inart releases on Christmas time... JND's Joker, and now Hot Toys drops Jack early...

Crazy.

Pretty annoying to be honest. I have three things on order, JND Joker Type C, Inart Joker 4-pack and JND Aragorn 1/3. Trust that both the Inart and JND packs which cost a lot by themselves already release in the same schedule...

And here I thought Joker 4 pack (and 2 pack), Ron and Paul all around the same time was some form of reckoning…what you got going on is apocalyptic…

It's a lot worse if your collection expands beyond these like your typical bandai and similar stuff. The last 2 months have been brutal and add the holidays, I have no words left for it.

No kidding. The past week alone I received:

2x Deadpool
2x SWtoys ninja gaiden (i effin hate it)
2x EXO Picard
1x romance of the 3 kingdoms Jun Machao (fantastic figure btw)
1x flashback Dexter
1x Bane
2x Revan

In preparation of paying off InArts releases, I asked for extensions for a few still unpaid invoices…Dec/Jan is a ROUGH time to be a collector 😭😭😭

Cant even think of a 1/6 scale figure that was priced at 2 digits, maybe way back before i got in the hobby. But in all fairness you cant compare inart to neca, not even close.
I was talking about where prices are heading. I paid £99 for my last NECA 2 pack, which is a lot for what they are. The last 1/6 I paid 2 digits for was an HT Bruce Lee and he was £75. There's no way I'm buying any 1/6 for what they cost now.

In Asia, the lowest prices for 1/6 are around £100 but that's just for third party/unlicensed. Hot Toys prices in UK is straight up robbery which can be 3x HK prices, in HK a HT figure averages £200 / $250 USD. If you're unwilling to go above £100, then probably HT is not worth above that to you, but I'd say you're not aligned to what the actual value of Hot Toys is and you're better off with other brands or third party 1/6.

And it's a question of what your requirement is. If it's just a simple representation then something like Marvel Legends can suffice, if it's a highly detailed replica then you got Hot Toys and Inart, and that's certainly worth more than £100 (to me).

These days, I get my kicks in smaller doses courtesy of 1/12 and 1/10. That said, even prices on these are starting to creep up to where I'm less comfortable. I did, however, just discover a Chinese company Fondjoy that makes licensed and nicely priced 1/9 figures. They currently only do DC, but they may expand. They do a nice Batfleck from BVS and will hopefully follow it with a Cavill Supes, we will see...

It's interesting how this release has gotten it's hype back, that really is a testament to how well InArt has done with these figures because the second film and even the price issue was a big kick in the teeth for this release. I also think InArt sending this to Dean Knight to review worked out brilliantly for them, they picked the right YouTuber for sure imo.
