This is very important, optimism. When people have subjective opinions about the suit especially if they give evidences, anyone can disagree. However, we need to watch what to say, and make sure the Criticism back is constructive and polite.I absolutely agree that this whole thing has gone well over the top in terms of the joke and the discussion, but I do feel like there’s nothing wrong with objective criticism (within reason, obviously) and I think, ultimately, it comes from a place of optimism.
Honestly, I can say that everything I’ve seen, be it positive or negative, has not detracted from my excitement over this figure since the initial pics. I can’t wait to get this thing and I’m hoping against hope that, as with Joker, they pull it off in mass production. I definitely think all that needs to be said has been said, but I think part of the reason I welcomed it is that honestly? I’m not really interested in a contest of egos between Hot Toys and InArt. I don’t just want HT to want to be better than IA or IA to want to be better than HT, I want each of them to want to make the best product possible for their respective customer bases.
To my mind, it never quite sat right with me that we had to say Hot Toys had their own “style” or “artistic interpretation” of characters to justify their apathy about the product they were putting out. I think stuff like their 1/4 Scale Batman and even the upcoming Peacemaker figure show exactly what they’re capable of and that’s why I feel like there’s a difference between the subjectivity of art and the objectivity of what the goal is with this stuff: to mirror reality. Are these tiny, overpriced dolls? Absolutely. But if detail didn’t matter, I feel like we could all save ourselves a hell of a lot of time and money by just going to Target and buying the 12” Jazzwares Wingsuit Batman.
Obviously, opinions are subjective and we all have our own perceptions, but to say someone doesn’t share the criticisms of the figure when there’s a plethora of photo references to justify it is to say someone doesn’t agree with the artistic decisions of the film’s costume designer, which I think sort of raises an interesting question about what we want out of these figures: do we want extreme authenticity or an idealized depiction of what we perceive that character to be? I’m not saying this to argue or push the previous critiques to the forefront again, so much as to promote a different kind of discussion that I felt your post interestingly brought up.
Whether you want to believe it or not, it's true. Not everyone shares the criticisms posted, ad nauseam I might add, in this thread and y'all know it....but to say someone doesn’t share the criticisms of the figure...
There's nothing wrong with pointing out inaccuracies but spending 30+ pages pointing out the same thing over and over again does nothing. Nor is belittling and ******** on fellow collectors here on this forum because they don't share the same passion over this nose thing.I absolutely agree that this whole thing has gone well over the top in terms of the joke and the discussion, but I do feel like there’s nothing wrong with objective criticism (within reason, obviously) and I think, ultimately, it comes from a place of optimism.

I can definitely see how the way it’s been presented can be a turn off, make no mistake, but I don’t know how the actual content can be disputed is my thing. Like, I don’t think it’s quite the same as two guys looking at a Rorschach test or a Jackson Pollock painting. One’s the way something appeared in a film, the other’s an inaccurate representation of it. Like, I can draw a portrait of a really famous President from decades ago I didn’t like and draw him with a giant, infected cyst smack dab in the middle of his forehead and likeminded people might love it, but, despite my own beliefs about how that might bely the internal spirit of the subject as I perceive him, that’s not an actual representation of how he looked.Whether you want to believe it or not, it's true. Collectors in this thread have posted their opinions to the point of spamming the thread which is a violation of the board's Community Guidelines and Code of Conduct.
I won’t rest until InArt’s release has nasal hair, real hair eyelashes, transparent cornea and 3 dimensional transparent lenses inside the eyeballs, and self-wetting lacrimal caruncles. There's nothing wrong with pointing out inaccuracies but spending 30+ pages pointing out the same thing over and over again does nothing. Is it inaccurate? Looks like it, we got that from the 50+ screenshots posted over a span of 30+ pages with a discussion that went nowhere. Now show it to Inart and move on. Talking **** about how those of us on here would buy a $10 Hasbro figure if it had Inarts name on it just because some of us are over the nose issue, ain't the way to go about it.
You're setting yourself up for some major disappointment if you think you're ever getting a 100% accurate figure, no matter how much money you put into it. No matter what company or custom artist.
I’m genuinely asking. I’ve certainly been here for some of the proceedings and partaken, but I haven’t pored over the minutiae of the last 30 pages as some have. If you want me to drop it, I will, but I’m honestly just trying to have a conversation.I feel like we’re being tricked into repeating ourselves in the same way we’ve heard about the nose 4703 times.
I deleted that thinking no one saw it because I realized wasn’t even sure what I was replying to. I blame it on the brain scramblies.I’m genuinely asking. “InArt Catwoman, when?”
I'm pretty sure it's just them being sarcastic and contrarian when I first joined the forum it was to see if anyone else was talking about the nose thing and they've been making so many memes about it that they've tired themselves out. Now they want to say it's our fault for making the thread full of spam when I just wanted to say shouldn't a movie figure be accurate to the movie and all they wanted to do was downplay it and turn it into a joke. I don't get how its obnoxious to bring up the inaccuracies I've provided countless examples it's not like we're talking about a McFarlane or Hasbro figure we should be able to talk about how it doesn't match up with the movie without being shutdown by mods for simply being fans of the suit and wanting the best version possible. Sure it comes across as spamming but thats because everyone was in on it and then some of those same people are the ones who tagged the mods even when they contributed to it with memes.I can definitely see how the way it’s been presented can be a turn off, make no mistake, but I don’t know how the actual content can be disputed is my thing. Hence my point about: do people disagree with the actual criticism or with the premise that it should appear as it did in the movie? I get how it’s been annoying, don’t get me wrong, I’m just genuinely curious about what people mean by disagreeing with the criticism. Do people disagree in a contrarian way because the actual critics have been genuinely obnoxious or do they genuinely prefer it to the real thing?

Yet after that, nose discussion again and again. I think we need to insta-ban whoever says that word next.Okay, to settle things. There is something wrong with the nose and really hope InArt fixes it.
Now, on to the next discussion. Anyone want to start?
Personally, I am waiting for more updates from InArt. Otherwise, I dont see how this thread is getting so much traction with nothing new added.
From OSK, its Sept 22. Mind the timezoneTrue question: when is the cut-off for POing The Batman Premium?
I think for me I like the idea of something being the best it can be because I like the idea of something definitive. Maybe I’m jaded, but I almost feel like Hot Toys, to this point, would purposely leave room for improvement so they could revisit a popular character at a later date (how many Yulli Joker sculpts does it take to screw in a lightbulb?), so, when I see something *so close*, I’m almost more inspired to be like “bring it all the way home, guys.”Thank you so much.
If you guys read my posts from a couple of pages ago.

I got my pre-orders in a couple of weeks ago. Really looking forward to see what InArt can bring to the market and if they can be considered a disruptor.
100% this. I feel like, even as is, this figure has so much display potential and I’m really excited to see what people do with it. I’d love to see some experimentation with lighting and some more atmospheric displays. I bet some red lights could look really cool.I didn't mind the critcisms and definitely everyone's entitled to their own opinion.
I'm actually really glad that those with strong opinions about the figure actually reached out to InArt to voice that concern.
Right now, with the amount of feedback sent to InArt, I'm really hoping the company really takes this seriously and we get a really really good figure.
Time will tell right? Like I said, they can be another run of the mill figure company OR they can become THAT bespoke figure company for when you JUST want that extra attention and youre willing to pay for it.

Time will tell for sure thank you. Now we wait and get excited for the final release. Won’t be long from now.I didn't mind the critcisms and definitely everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

Then why did you end talking about the nose in a qoute mimicking the riddler you clearly still want to bring it up over and over. You got upset because I said you only criticized hot toys which is true. I didn't even say your name yet you think I'm talking about you.No. I originally tagged the mods (who have now had to clear up this mess TWICE) because you started in on me for disagreeing with you/providing salient responses as counters to your comments.
The second time I tagged them is because of the ridiculous amount of postings about this nose observation, which was then becoming spamming of the thread.
One would really think people would learn, especially after @Darth Snoopy last warnings and the only reason for my post now is I am not having BS written about me. I posted one meme to highlight the preposterousness BEFORE this thread has been turned into an absolute mess by the obsessive and repetitive posting of the same issue over and over. (@Hologram AI literally explained this far better than I have a few posts above).
“If YOU are nose obsessed…please do not lie….”
I think only 3 people have reached out including mem I hope that's enough at least 3 people on this forum that have said they have. There could be people on Facebook who noticed and said something.I didn't mind the critcisms and definitely everyone's entitled to their own opinion.
