I initially thought the same. Competition is very good, but unfortunately Inart never was and never will be a threat to Hot Toys (except DC). Hot Toys puts efforts only for which Inart are their direct rivals like the batman. Still they don’t care about marvel licenses and can see how they messed No way Home line. And Hot Toys won’t care about Inart eating half of the revenue of about 2-3 releases out of their 100.
They don't need to be a threat to Hot Toys. They can coexist. Why do people assume this. Competition brings improvement. I love Hot Toys and I love InArt so far. Does InArt need to improve? Absolutely, they have a lot of work to do. I'm pretty sure Hot Toys wasn't pushing out 100 figures in year 2 of existance.

Yes. I don’t expect them to do that much. But bare minimum 5 figures? If they are not even capable of producing that, it’s like digging their own grave. The thing irritating about Inart is their fake promises. They always show their ETA as 12-15 months including Paul, but it takes 6-9 months more than that (excluding their official delays). John said The Batman is ready before CNY and even first batch will be shipped immediately after CNY. We didn’t even get a proper update about it and 45 days have passed already. And the icing on the cake is they continue to take preorders of other figures and share photos of their old figures to irritate us more.

No it's currently being made by Justina Chen. You can find her profile on Instagram. I'm kind of liking her bomber jacket more. What do you think?
Screen accuracy picking aside, I'm liking the look of both. I like the more muted tones in Justinas figure. But there's also something that pops about the Present Toys. Topo's looks like it's still in early development.

Must be three weeks since we saw those figures boxed and ready to go but still no in hand pics. Strange.

According to you, which one is the most screen accurate my friend?

The guy who posted it on OSR said the picture was from InArt warehouse. I can only theorize that they're preparing marketing and recording unboxing / first look and that's why they haven't sent any to anyone.

It pops more in present toys because there’s more contrast between the inside jacket and puffy gray blue jacket than the topo one. Topo is revising the color though and will improve it. It will release before the month ends.

I really hope that’s the reason. But they can also just share a few pictures of the figure and what updates they’ve done instead of leaving their audience with nothing at all. Or even just the suit itself for the cowl, and give more video information after a few days. It’s crazy and how it’s the end of the month and zero news still. Something is off.

If you had listened to one of their streams, they mentioned that sometimes they make everything and while doing photoshoots, if something is wrong, they will go back and alter itseems.

Hope they don’t come up with another ******** like they didn’t get the desired quality like previous one.

The most worrying thing is that for other figures they used to put posts with pics of headsculpts that they are nearing production or some additional accessories to compensate for the delay. Tmrw will be exactly 2 weeks since Inart Paul. Let’s hope within this weekend we get anything. Will mentioned in a video that it will release next month probably

That’s what I was expecting as well, similar with the Gandalf update of the headsculpts exactly. It’s definitely too late to change the headsculpt and I recall they already revised the figure. I don’t see the harm of even giving us the update of what they changed while they’re increasing shipping production.

People were saying that it’s the same proto. But actually it isn’t. The problem is with their headsculpt. They are not able to get it correct with that they have advertised. They have fixed the final version on last year February itself. They are struggling to get that level of details. Attached the reference is the vegas event proto which is much better with all the stubble and they want that level of detail.

This is a do/die situation for them since they are directly competing with HT for this one and hope they have perfected the final product. If not, they will probably delay again and they cannot afford to compromise.

This is one of those times where they are probably keeping everything close to their chest in order to avoid anymore issues. The problem is most of us collectors are waiting for this to drop already. Let's see how it goes this month and see if it will finally ship and if they show any first official images of the figure.

I do think they are taking the extra time because this is the first figure that is directly competing with hot toys. Maybe in the minority here but I’m ok with them taking as long as they need as long as the figure looks the best it can.

Honestly I think the unreal customs sculpt is the best I’ve seen, absolutely nailed it. Really hoping the inart comes through,I’m excited to see what the final product looks like

Inart may have not released their Batman yet, but we've already seen their hand played in the Hot Toys release lol
Does anyone have evidence of this, or is it just pure speculation? I've seen many examples of Hot Toys improving their product over their prototype. A prime example is their release of The Peacemaker. I don't recall Inart announcing their release of this figure, so I didn't see any incentive for Hot Toys to put in the extra work, other than to maximize profits.
But I would expect Hot Toys to do this for many of their releases, especially a release like The Batman, in making the best product available based on their timetables.

And Topo shared this earlier today. Looking good so far. Plus the inclusion of his cap!

Glad someone’s doing the cap- even though it probably won’t fit over any sculpted hair heads and would be a really dumb idea to put it on the InArt rooted head.

I’m actually preferring the PT set over Topo- especially PT’s backpack.
Topo will probably have the more accurate boots and the stitching looks nice but, the only thing Pat are letting me down on is the colour of the zipper.

Shame HT didn’t bother putting 100% effort into the Tobey or Garfield Spider-Mans. Maybe Spidey just isn’t a popular enough character…
Or maybe it’s because InArt don’t have any Marvel licenses so HT has no licensed competition in that field and therefore no incentive to try.

I like the details on the Inart sculpt more, but I think Hot Toys captured a better silhouette

I haven't studied the drifter look closely. I've got some initial impressions, like PT and the custom having a better shape for the jacket, but Topo's being closer in material. When we get a look at Topo's final product, I'll take the time to compare them

I think Present Toys wasted an opportunity not doing a fully covered sculpt like this
