The thing off putting to me,and it's probably the lighting...is the pale shade around his eyes.
It's like he has been wearing sunglasses and gotten a tan..taken them off and voila.

Personally feel the hair has been messed up/fluffed too much here.

All that’s needed is a little loosening but what is crucial is some shorter strands closest to the forehead.

Losers who clearly haven’t watched every second of all the bonus features to have Richard Taylor explain every little detail of every costume and prop with unwavering enthusiasm.

I swear he was the first person I’d ever seen where it was so plainly clear that he truly loved his job.

Maybe my opinion is in the minority, but so far I just don't see Viggo Mortenson in the sculpt. Regardless of the hairstyle, angle, lighting, etc., there is something significantly off about his face, at least to me.

I've already waited for several series of pictures and it doesn't seem to be getting any better.

I always like to compare this with the experience when I unpacked my Inart Gandalf a few months ago. Although he had a hairstyle like a scarecrow's, I immediately recognized Ian McKellen's face.

Please don't misunderstand me, I still think that the Inart Aragorn is a wonderful figure and I will also keep my three rooted preorders . But since it's my absolute favorite LOTR character, I'm just a little disappointed that the likeness isn't 100% there.

"Unfortunately" I have to agree with you. While I see the likeness in some of the shots, most of them I just don't see Viggo. I think it's the eyes. I don't know.

Of course, it's the best representation of Aragorn to date in terms of execution and realism.
But it doesn't blow me away like Gandalf did.

Looking forward to see more in hand review videos to change my mind...

I dont have this one with Spec, but I do have the Bruce Wayne, which i dont expect for a while. SpecFiction will be the last vendor to ship this out since he is located in the US. He has everything shipped in bulk to him via sea delivery from HK.

Not to be hyperbolic, but this one feels different. Better than just figure of the year. It's entirely possible I'm just basking in the warm glow of anticipation, but this one feels like the Hot Toys Bank Robber Joker to me. Such a big jump. I'll be very curious to see if this is isolated or if IA will end up giving the whole hobby a kick in the butt.

I kinda feel like it already has. Hot Toys started making all their promotional videos and the Artisan series suspiciously around the time InArt was gaining traction.
