This was handed down to you my son. It belonged to my great great grandfather Sir Bo Shrek. He made a wise decision to go with sculpted hair oh so many moons ago.

I don't know, this seems fairly comparable. Asmus gives you an extra head and a large base for $300, but you don't get anywhere near the gear that InArt gives you for $335.

Never been a problem from either of those sellers so not something you need to factor in.

You can get this figure with the sculpted hair for the price of a Hot Toys figure.

The premium version is just that, a premium version, that comes with a premium price tag. Rooted hair of that quality does not come cheap at all, its a painstaking process that requires a lot of skill and premium materials to do right. If you think you can do it better then I’d love to see it.

Nobody is forcing you to pay the $470, buy the standard and stop complaining about nothing. You just appear to be trivialising it.

Cost and price are subjective bud. Are you familiar with how much it costs to commission an artist to produce this level or quality hair work on a custom sculpt? Let alone the cost of a quality paint job of this caliber? $470 is an absolute steal if this level of quality translates to the final product.

100% agree with you bud. Paying for the same level of quality with custom artist will come out to far more then what we are getting with this. In the end you can't go wrong with both versions if someone thinks the standard is enough then awesome because that is just as much true as saying buying the Premium is worth it.

It’s a steep price for either. A couple of hands, shards of a sword and rooted hair for $135 extra is worth discussing. Yes a customiser can do rooted sculpts for a high price tag, but this is a well established company with a wealth of experience and resources and the skills to do this for a fairer price. They know it’s a steep increase otherwise they wouldn’t have bundled some accessories with the premium in an attempt to make it more palatable. I think a lot of people would’ve liked to have Anduril included, or other accessories for the variant looks he had throughout the film to make to justify the high cost. $290 and $400 seem much more appropriate a price, still higher that the closest equivalent hot toys figure.

I also think it’s worth discussing this preorder strategy (someone else brought this up but it was drowned out by all the prototype praise).
3 days to decide on if you want the premium version. Some people may not even check the check the forum/social media within that time. It’s not very collector friendly, this ‘fomo’ strategy is worse than when sideshow do a low stock alert/premature waitlist on figures.
If InArt are worried about too many orders for the rooted version why not just set an edition number (they sell out when they sell out), it’s no less arbitrary that seeing how many orders they get for 3 days. They must have a rough idea from their 4? other preorders of how many they may make.

I also have an issue with the presentation, it’s all a bit museum pose dull. All of their figures look like they’re waiting for an elevator, why not add some interesting poses? Show us how well they can move. That Aragorn pic with him kneeling is most dynamic thing they’ve shown. Not to mention the info sheets display all the wrong things, they seem to have devoted so much time to the sculpt and hair that the preorder and presentation is an afterthought.

Why is a customizer's time more valuable than the people InArt hires to do the work?

I dont understand how an edition size would be more fair. It's still an equal chance that it could sell out in 3 days without you seeing it, as it being shut off in 3 days. Why not just give everyone the opportunity to order one that wants one within the given time?

Joking aside, there’s no reason not to discuss the aspects of pricing on these figures….
But the fact of the matter is, all of what can really be said about the differences in quality, price point, and presentation between Asmus, Hot Toys, third parties, custom jobs, and InArt has already been thoroughly argued in circles in each one of these threads.
I think people are starting to learn that they can safely be excited now after InArt’s TDK Joker launch. Between that and their full Aragorn reveal+PO drop, it is a hilariously bad time to bring up any negative opinions and expect it to be super popular.

can we use rewards points for preorders on OneSix kit? Does that count toward the full price or just the deposit? How much are points worth?

Reward points can use for placing order on site, for preorder deposit or in stock items

Balance for preorder is out of the system, cannot use reward points on it
