Yeah Im liking that hair. I'm expecting my 2nd any day now so hoping this is what I get for hair as well. Might be same batch as you.

I got my standard Aragorn opened and put together over the long weekend, and I am very impressed! I hate to repeat a cliche on this board, but it looks way better in person than in pictures, especially the head sculpt and non-rooted hair. After seeing many other photos of both versions on here, I was nervous I wouldn't be satisfied with how my figure looked from the neck up, but I was pleasantly surprised at InArt's sculpted hair and how the head sculpt looks with it compared to how amazing it can look with the more "premium", rooted hair. Thankfully I had no QC issues to speak of, but I share with the sentiment that the hands are hard to change and the magnets on the wrist pegs seem useless.

Here are some crappy iPhone photos of him by himself and on my LotR "Mt. Rushmore" shelf, which I now consider to be complete.

Any tips for the eye line that gives the best likeness? When I'm looking from far away and to the right of how I have him standing I see Viggo. But other angles it's off. Any other tweaks that help bring out the likeness appreciated!

My first, futz-free look at the Premium is here, and the impression is good!

I totally understand now when people say it's difficult to capture! Don't know if it's just focal length or what, but it looks very different to the eye versus a camera. My sculpt has an itty-bitty nose freckle, but it's not enough to send me after a replacement. Lots of flyaways to tame, but I'm happy with the length and overall shape of the hair.

I think the Viggo likeness might be ever so slightly stronger on my Standard sculpt, but the realism of the Premium still takes the cake, IMO.

Don't know if this is typical, but I got a ton of variation in hair color. Doesn't bother me because it's only noticeable from above and behind, but it caught my eye while inspecting the figure.

In the middle of doing my unboxing video of my Second Aragorn from Kit and I noticed right away the paint work is better on my #2 here.

You see more definition in his bags around his eyes. Which might not be getting picked up to its full potential from these pics. I'm going to do some day light pics in the morning.

Comparisons between my Batch 1 Aragorn (Left) and this more current Batch (Right)

Also the hair is so much better with the #2. The shape. The length. Note: I did cut the bangs on my #1. I never cut any of the length otherwise.

Thanks. Yeah I thought I was ok with the 1st release until I started seeing some of the better later batches so I felt I had to gamble. I always wanted to pick up a second at some point. Glad I did now. But yeah now seeing the two side by side I'm surprised at the hair on the 1st. I did a little taming to it and Got him set up in my secondary "Return of the King" display.

And now the second Aragorn taking the main display.

Way too much variance in these but I think it’s clear this later batch is an adjustment in response to community feedback.
We wanted less poofy curls with a more flattened, darker look and that’s what people appear to be getting now.

Oh, I just bought a third rooted from OMH too- so my fourth IA Aragorn. Will probably sell my sculpted one. For some reason, I want three Aragorns and can’t find a reason to use a sculpted version when rooted ones are available at a ‘reasonable’ price.

So, for the InArt figures, I think the looks I’ll be displaying are-
1. Strider/ Pass of Caradhras
2. Post battle of Amon Hen
3. Migration from Edoras to Helm’s Deep/Paths of the Dead (if I can find Anduril with the correct belt and scabbard)

I’ve also got the Asmus slim Strider and Helm’s Deep dx. Maybe I’ll sell those and turn the sculpted InArt into a Helm’s Deep figure- or buy a fourth rooted IA…

I just love Aragorn too much.
