The level of variance in the hair is crazy. I just got a second rooted one and it's hair is completely different to my first one. The first had good hair colour but was too curly and maybe a bit too short. Also was never happy with the parting and shape of that one.

The second one is much lighter, has nice waves and the overall length/shape of the hair is much better. Also the paint on the sculpt looks slightly sharper. The hair feels different too.

I hope the hair for future figures becomes more consistent. Shouldn’t have to buy multiples of a figure this expensive to get a good one.

Yeah the variance in hair is pretty appalling across the board with this figure considering the price of it. One of mine has a literal permed ginger bob. Will take a photo of it when I get a chance 😅

The funny - not - part was reading the Harry Potter thread puff piece about how the fiber was carefully selected blah blah.

On a more positive Christmas note, I also have a notice that my Ranger cloaks are shipping. And I ended up with 2 nice Aragorns. To be fair from scene to scene and film to film his hair had more wave; less wave, etc. To a degree there's plenty of "right" ways for him to look.

I'm gonna convert my "wet look" Aragorn to a Helm's Deep version. And hope all will have a good holiday.

That variance is crazy... but I think I actually prefer your early version.

Some of you got really good second batch ones the hair looks way better Mines isn't to bad but has one side a bit frizzy like the product wasn't applied properly.

I actually prefer your first batch hair. The hair on the later batch is a bit too "pretty" imo. It's like he just went to the salon to get it done. The darker hair is also a bit more accurate, although that varied depending on the lighting and wetness of his hair.

That curly messy look is perfect for how sloppy he looked throughout the movie.

Definitely prefer your second figure’s styling, looks like it has a natural weight to it. Mine looks closer to your first one. Reminds me of the crimped hair styling popular in the 80s.

Guys do you have photos of Aragorn repaint/retouch?
Too many pages I don’t find it…

I remember one of them was retouched on the eyebrows, and it improved likeness, but I can't find it either 😕
