That's mainly what I'm thinking is going on. Many who ordered aren't fully attached to the films and might have ordered on impulse. It's a great figure and certainly a great piece, I'm sure I'll have more luck once he's completely sold out everywhere.
Probably InArt made too many of him, that’s why figure is still available. For me it’s impossible to not be attached to TLOTR franchise, it’s a peak fantasy imo and figure looks amazing. I think after some time once it’s sold out, demand will increase.

This is the most difficult 1/6 scale head sculpt to photograph well that I've come across.

I took the lighter haired sculpt and added a lot of hairspray to darken it up and the likeness is definitely stronger in warm room lighting and in a small amount of natural light but as soon I put him under strong LEDs or sunlight it washes out the amazing sculpt.

Really happy with how he looks now, I'll just have to avoid turning on the LEDs.

I think you are correct. If I remember correctly, Kit said something like: Joker >Aragorn >Batman>Superman. I might not have it exact, but I remember Aragorn being up there.

I know that's just Kit, but im sure the demographic follows suit in a similar way across the board. Make since why Joker and Aragorn seem to be the most available InArt figures so far.

A company in Belgium - LCDN.

They originally had it scheduled to ship in 12/2023 (which was for sure bogus) - then it was Q4/2024 - and now they're saying Q1/2025.....I don't know if it's a problem with InArt or LCDN - but I'm done.

To be fair, I've had horrendous delays previously dealing with Queen Studios (the mother company to InArt) so I shouldn't really be surprised. It's one of the main reasons that Aragorn was my LAST pre-order from either InArt or Queen Studios.
That's got to be a problem with that company. I ordered an Aragorn with Kit in January 2023 and another in January 2024, the last time Kit put up for preorder and already have both.

InArt definitely had issues getting out The Batman for whatever reason. Superman and Harry both released quit fast. Now Joker 2019 pack, Paul, and Ron are all releasing in 12 months or less. Even if it takes another 6 months for those, they will all be 12-18 months.

My Paul Atreides that went up for preorder just this past March, I ordered directly from Queen Studios, shipped out this morning already.

I get it though, previous experiences will definitely burn you with using companies in the future if they are bad.

WOW! What a difference the Topo cloak makes!! I was on the fence but seeing these has convinced me to order one. Now I'm actually considering a second rooted Aragorn for a solo figure display....
I've also been pondering the mOjingToys tavern diorama. The big issue there is the height exceeds Detolf shelves and I've already changed heights on a couple of shelves to accommodate other taller items. I'm thinking of taking a chance that I can work out how to cut down the height of the wall by removing some of the bottom where it fits to the floor......
Bein' someone who wasn't shy about my irritations with InArt:censored - besides the cost - after ending up with 2 rooted Aragorns - I still wince at the ~1000$ standing on my desk at the moment (+ the cloaks I bought, and the horse :monkey3 and the misc. like tavern mugs + PO'd the tavern diorama) - well, tho, thanks to the sculpt and details and relatively decent paint - but, yeah, this is a good looking fig.

Or, I don't regret having two rooted. The Topo cloak for me just really works (tho I suppose that's true for original InArt).

Assuming the tavern dio is all poly? etc. yeah that can be cut with the right tools. Tho I'd keep an eye on IKEA or Amazon or other places, which may have an affordable single fig case that could be put on top of a Detof?
Or just build a wooden box maybe, with a glass door. Lots of bookcases/furniture can be hacked into a display cabinet.

My “Topo” Ranger cloaks arrived today in the mail from OSK. I wasn’t sure what to expect as far as packaging, but mine arrived in clear bags in a generic yellow bubble mailer. Nothing indicating they were produced by Topo, not even a card. I recall my Topo “The Batman” drifter set and helmet had Topo packaging and a Topo card. Curious if others received their cloak the same as mine…?

Regardless, the Ranger cloak presents nicely after a heavy water misting to remove errant folds in the fabric. The cloak drapes really well with just the right amount of weathering along the bottom fray.

I picked up two InArt Aragorns from OSK - a rooted and a sculpted version with the intent of always cloaking the latter. I could just never see myself cloaking the rooted version. Still disappointed that the InArt Ranger cloak was never included with all purchases of Aragorn : /

I love seeing all the images people post, even if redundant. So here’s some more for those that feel the same…

Happy ‘25 all!
Great clear pics! IMO pics are ALWAYS welcome, especially when well lit like this. Also pics can inspire folks and lol I've stolen poses from folks as well.

Yeah, well, I've tried putting the hood up over a rooted Aragorn and IMO in the end the hair on my two is just too nice :lol especially #2 that came out of the box with a perfect very wet hair look. I'll soften/distress the cloaks more and have 1 fig cloaked hood down, and an ASMUS fig hood up😁.

Assuming the Topo cloak is nylon or polyester: https://craftanddesign.net/how-to-soften-nylon-fabric/

After seeing how good the figure looks with the cloak I caved and ordered a second, rooted Aragorn, this time from TNS! The Tavern dio is so tempting.... I actually don't have any room on the top of my Detolf wall (5 cases side x side) so trying to work out details is hard. My three Rohan swords as well as a couple of "stand-in" Saxon/Viking helmets occupy that territory :D . It also turns out the base is too deep to fit in the cases front-to-back. So I'd need to cut off a back portion of the base as well as the bottom of the wall where it fits to the base. From the description and photos, I believe the wall is mainly wood, the base maybe or not. More planning.....

Strider is still my favorite version of Aragorn. He was mysterious and intriguing and I like the idea of having a second figure depicting him before the main action of The Fellowship. I also like the idea of having Gandalf and Strider discussing the plans to meet up with Frodo, sharing a pipe and ale at The Prancing Pony. Prices on Gandalf are too high to think about doing that though......I'm glad I was able to get the one I have after my debacle with Maxnut (my pre-order) I may still do this, but I'll just use my current Gandalf and Aragorn and keep Strider as a stand alone look.

I looked at the Dio again and I think I was mistaken in my thought on the depth of the base. The dimensions are listed as L x W x H and I took W as being width, thus side-to-side. Paying attention to the photos of the item, I think they intended L to be side-to-side and W as front-to-back. So I think all that's needed will be to trim off the bottom of the wall. I think that'll be doable.

Congrats I don't think you will regret the choice. I dupe certain figures for the same reason - just certain scenes or looks I want on the shelf more or less permanently, without having to do major switchouts.

The other thing being, maybe sometimes there's deals on older figures; then there's figures getting resold at a hefty markup even for a used figure. Whether they sell at a listed price is another matter, but sealed/new figures the cost is up there. I don't know that InArt will ever release another Strider - too many people are asking for other figures.

just got Aragorn Premium in from OneMansHobby, and agreed that it's one of the more diffcult portraits to photograph. Extremely fun to pose after a little bit of setup, though the ankles were slightly weaker than expected and balancing an action pose took some patience.

Nice!

I ordered a rooted from them too.

I’ll likely sell bt standard afterwards.

What are y’all using as a display base, my magnets seem to be super weak, and I’m very nervous about his future lol
i ditched the magnet bases after Gandalf faceplanted and ended up with a paint scuff on his nose. He's currently at the painter for a touch up.

Just using a standard black stand with a crotch grabber now. A shame as I really do like the design of the bases InArt made.

for those with the sculpted hair, is it flexible, or does it interfere with more dynamic poses?
It’s a bit flexible in the front but the hair is hard in the back of the head.

I’m using a basic black stand too. I’ve never trusted the magnetic stands.. I’m definitely considering getting a stand from Coco on Etsy, as I need one for my Cyberpunk figures.

Haven't tried but being plastic can't they just be drilled/dremeled/cut and outfitted with a crotch grabber or other? And someone had posted pictures of clear stands just placed on top of the original, so you still get the effect with the safety of a grabber.
