If you really want to know which one is better, just ask yourself if someone offered you either one for FREE which one would you take. Always a good test.
Trouble with that for me, is that my indecision is always final. If you really want to know which one is better, just ask yourself if someone offered you either one for FREE which one would you take. Always a good test.
Wow! That looks good! Do I really wanna jump into the LOTR line...

I really only want to keep the base from the Crown set but I’ll hold onto everything for now in case InArt don’t add the ‘thumb slots’ to their sleeves or skip any other details that Asmus included.I don't envy the people with the Crown Gandalf.
This is a bit of a concern - the length of the robes is too short while the trousers are too long. The robe should come down to the same level as the trousers, covering the tops of the boots in a similar way. Why are the trousers so long? It looks pretty bad imo, like he's wearing his taller brother's clothes.
That's what I'm doing with my DX11 Joker. I want to first see if there's anything I want to keep from that set after receiving the InArt, and then I'll probably sell it half a year later or so. I probably could've have made a bigger profit selling earlier, but I rather have all the accessories I want for future poses.I really only want to keep the base from the Crown set but I’ll hold onto everything for now in case InArt don’t add the ‘thumb slots’ to their sleeves or skip any other details that Asmus included.
I think it’ll actually be easier to sell The Crown version after InArt’s has released as the market value of that will shoot up and make the retail Crown price seem more reasonable.
If I decide not to have two GTGs I may just part my Crown one out.
Ye, I’m absolutely not interested in making any profit off my Crown Gandalf. It would be unseemly to expect anyone to pay near the InArt price for Asmus’ less impressive offering. That's what I'm doing with my DX11 Joker. That's how I view selling my figures sometimes. Unless I have something that's never been open or something that is legitimately worth a lot, I just want to get a decent amount for something to help with future purchases.Ye, I’m absolutely not interested in making any profit off my Crown Gandalf. A bit of money to offset the cost of InArt’s will be more than enough.
Actually, Asmus sculpt is also decent, and Inart looks not as good from certain angles.
My plan is the InArt will go in my detolf. My Crown will go on the Bridge of Khazad-Dum display (which is in my "top 10" shelf. You can always use your crown Gandalf as the base for a custom Bridge of Khazad-Dum Gandalf. He's pretty grimey and angry looking there and the Asmus sculpt would work with that.
Use it to display the hat, show off the InArt one without it.
You can use the Asmus fig still. It's a bit naive to say it's THAT bad. A year ago it was still the best Gandalf you could get, and if InArt never came along, well you'd have had to settle for that. It's very easy to post ****** pictures of the Asmus figure, but TLC goes a long way with it all the same.
That being said, I eagerly await the InArt Gandalf. The character is one of most significant importance for me, and I really look forward to adding this iteration to my collection.
I am not a fan of the bent hat brimCouple more Gandalf pics from the InArt Thailand event. Surprised there wasn’t any close ups like this of Aragorn..!?
Pretty sure they did that to light the face a bit more for the show. It’s more than likely able to be futzed especially if there’s a wire in the hat brim.I am not a fan of the bent hat brim
I'm beginning to agree. All these new photos are just highlighting the problems with it
