Gandalf is so good I want another for a second display. Easily in my top 5 favorite pieces in the collection.
Yes I really wish I'd ordered two; one to display with Old Bilbo and the other with the Fellowship. I did have the original crown GTG but it looked like an abomination with the InArt version in the same room so had to sell it offGandalf is so good I want another for a second display. Same. On top of that someone pointed out that it looked like Biden with a beard and I couldnt unsee it. Had to sell it. I still have a custom Gandalf sculpt that was haired years back. I chose to keep that for my second display. But if I ever get a deal on another InArt it's going to be bought in a heartbeat.Yes I really wish I'd ordered two; one to display with Old Bilbo and the other with the Fellowship. What did you put on his hair? It looks perfect!

Not sure if it was but looks like an early batch Gandalf to me. Most/Many of the very early ones were perfect. What did you put on his hair? It looks perfect!

Yep this was a batch 1 Gandalf so it arrived looking quite good, although somewhat puffy. I had to work in some extra strong hair spray to flatten and shape it. I use 'Schwarzkopf Got2bNot sure if it was but looks like an early batch Gandalf to me. Most/Many of the very early ones were perfect.
You should! Gandalf is amazing. I love my Aragorn but Gandalf is hands down the most impressive figure I ownReally should not have bought Aragorn.
Absolutely need this now.
'Schwarzkopf Got2b Glued Blasting Freeze Hairspray'
The mini version is far more manageable than the wide nozzle larger can:OMG, it's a real thing...
Well done, your Gandalf looks excellent. Sounds like you put in a good deal of careful work.Yep this was a batch 1 Gandalf so it arrived looking quite good, although somewhat puffy. I had to work in some extra strong hair spray to flatten and shape it. I use 'Schwarzkopf Got2b
Glued Blasting Freeze Hairspray' sprayed into a metal cap, then with a small paintbrush I dab in the spray and work it over the areas I'm styling. Never spray directly onto the figure. I find the hairspray approach gives a thinner, less clumpy look than gel.
As with all InArt figures, there's often too much product resulting in clumped hair in areas where you want thin strands, like across the face as with the case of gandalf especially. In these areas i first use water on a small brush to soak the area, then with tweezers, toothpick, etc, pry the strands apart from each other. Then style again with the hairslray steps to set in place, avoiding any clumping again.
Yup, that's the stuff I use as well. Most recently on my Present Toys Edward and Sideshow Beetlejuice.OMG, it's a real thing...
