Oh.
Yay.

:(

"Originally, Warner Bros agreed to let Christopher Nolan make his "Inception" movie as part of his agreement to direct the third "Batman" installment. But "Inception" went on to gross over $810 million on a $160 million budget, and now, the studio wants a sequel.

Nolan will likely never agree to direct another installment, but he may decide to let another filmmaker further explore the world he created while overseeing the whole thing. Either way, the studio is very serious about moving forward.

It's not clear which direction an "Inception" sequel could go since everything wrapped up nicely in the first film, but let's hope this doesn't become some cheap straight-to-DVD installment. Stay tuned."

Hopefully Nolan would not let this happen and I guess just hopefulness on WB part.

I knew this was going to happen

What say would Nolan have in stopping WB ever making a sequel? If it is his creation surely he has 100% say as to whether another one is made right?

I'll withhold judgment on Inception 2 until I see whether Nolan's involved.

Die Hard 4 was actually really good, though.

SnakeDoc

Good is a stretch, really good it is not. Its about on par with P.2 if you can get past him riding a fighter jet on the outside. Or that stupid Mac kid that I've always hated especially in Waiting.

Basically they took the greatest action hero ever who fought terrorists with his bare hands and made him a babysitter. Pretty lame.

Well then you don't know the film industry too well, my friend. :) The studio has ALL the power, if a film maker directs a film (he even wrote) it doesn't mean he finanaced it. I'm sure in Nolan's case he was paid handsomely for his script and direction. After that, he walks away, he takes nothing with him. It all depends on if he invested in the budget.

Your right I don't but i have never professed to either :(

It's not a terrible idea. The world he created is so vast, there is a ton of ideas that could work. As long as it's a new story, not involving Leo's character....then what's the problem?

Maybe follow Arthur, or Tom Hardy's character...?

Hmm...I don't know what to think at this point since they don't mention anything about the script or anyone in it. I'll wait to judge until we get some concrete information. Sequels of blockbusters aren't really a surprise anymore, except for Transformers because I'm still amazed that anyone cares that new ones get made.
