Great sculpt! I'd be interested in one if you make them available. I'd love to make his character from Last Samurai.

I was actually playing with the idea of resculpting him into Ra's Al Ghul and Katsumoto from Last Samurai. I hope I can find a caster, thansk for your interest

cheung yeah sorry for some reason i overlooked your comment about it being available. costa rica huh? how about making one cast and then sending it to someone here in the US to cast. sort of like a distribution channel. that way you'd still have your original and those that want him can get a cast. just a suggestion

thanks man, really appreciate it. This project is mainly for me, but I'd be glad to share this sculpt if any one wants it later. I'm having it cast so I can work on a Watanabe from The Last Samurai , I'm afraid to touch the original.

UPDATED: Just smoothed out the skin, since I'm using super sculpey (flesh colored) I didn't notice the roughness of the surface, I over textured it, haha. For those interested, I'm going to have it molded, I hope the guy I found can pull it off .

Hey guys, so I don't know if anyone was doing a Saito headsculpt, he is the third character from the movie I want (He gets everything started after all) and since I'm going to get Daniel's (Sunohc) Arthur and Cobb, I took matters into my own hands.

Man that is just fantastic! The likeness is spot on!

Smoothing it out helped made a big difference.

I can't believe this is only your third sculpt!

Nope, but I plan to either buy a Tom Cruise HS or sculpt my own.You cannot have Katsumoto without Algren

very excellent "symmetry" (I know faces aren't entirely symmetrical but your sculpt is very clean) and is that in wax?

I don't know why this super sculpey is so shinny, I desaturated the original image with photoshop so I could see more of the detail. Maybe the light source was very close to the sculpt or I over used sculpey softener since this batch of SS was bone dry .

A little update for those interested, I located and talked to a local caster, we are trying to make this work as he has never done this kind of casting. If it's not going to be in vulcanized rubber it'll be made in resin, I just hope it could be done either way, I really want to make my own Katsumoto (Last Samurai)

Hey man, thanks for asking, I thought I already updated here. So I visited a local friend of mine who's a sculptor, he will be helping me cast the heads in resin, he told me that he'll be having some copies ready by sunday, so I'll update this post when I have a resin copy in hand.

One thing to note about the resin, we will be using Polyester Resin, that is the only kind available here in my country unfortunately, importing urathane plastic resin (from the smooth-on site) would be a killer for us because of our high customs taxes .
