Cobb looks fantastic Daniel, ordered and ordered! I went with neck for both sculpts as I'm going for the suit look for both. :panic:

Now all that's left is to convince myself that Robert Neville is the only sculpt I need from your amazing upcoming schedule of work....

Nice one buddy :yess:

:gah: I'm tempted to buy both with and without necks! I don't want to make the wrong choice! :panic:

Do either (or both) need to be drilled to fit a TT?

I think you need

Arthur with neck

Cobb without

You will pop Cobb on the sculpted neck body which has the ball ready to sit in the socket of the head, understand?

Basically:

Suit looks = neck sculpts

Open shirt/leather jackets = no neck.

Unless personal pref is different.

No bud, just Cobb in black suit stealth mode for me.

Okay, so the "without neck" option doesn't require any drilling. It's ready to instal.

What about the "with neck" option? Does that require drilling?

Well I'm not totally going with a "suit look" for either.

Arthur will not be wearing his jacket, just his vest. I really don't want a giraffe neck. Also, I like the slightly improved poseability of the extra top neck joint. Really leaning towards getting both without neck.

But I do like the look of a painted/sculpted neck! :gah:

Maybe whoever I get to paint these up can paint the separate neck too. :idea

I would be very surprised if it does, i would imagine these will be pre drilled for a ht body but you might want to get Dan to clear that up

I doubt the paint would take to well to the HT necks, they are a plastic material.

Basically, even if I was just doing Arthur with shirt and vest, definitely would go with sculpted neck 100%.

phew! Picked up Cobb and Arthur with neck! I can't even see the pics of Cobb at work.. I trust you Dan!!!

lol, well it was either wait it out and hope that 60 other people don't order or just grab it. Looking at Dan's other sculpts I don't think I'll be disappointed.

same here. i always disliked sculpts without the neck, so for me it's no question with neck or without. 100% with neck, always :p

I'm just afraid of this:

That lower neck joint can really look terrible.

And the neck can be miles too long.

Open shirt or not I personally prefer sculpts with neck. They just look better imo and you dont have to worry about matching the head colour with the neck that comes with the body.

With all the clothes on, especially shirts and suits, you realise how correct those Hot Toys bodies are Maglor!

For those who are using the head on an open shirted display, get a sculpt without a neck and look into the TTL 3.0 or Soldier Story body, for those who are using shirts and suits, like Bond in my sig, get one with a neck and use any body! That's my advice.

Great sculpts Daniel, must be a great time to be an inception fan for all the freaks!

with that hot toys body it's not important if you take the head without neck or with neck. you will see always that gap between body and neck.

but there are also some bodys with sculpted neck on the body like the ttl bodies. you might look at them and it's your personal taste and outfit you're choosing :)

as many said, if you're going with a more open outfit where you can see the body, choose the one without the neck, but if you're going to choose a more 'closed'-outfit like the suit choose the necksculpted head. :)

Sorry for beating a dead horse here guys, but it's not just the lower neck joint that looks bad, it's the joint with the adapter:

I mean, look at these:

One more head change Pic to come...

^^To me that would look so much better with the separate neck. :dunno

Hey Mag, definitely go with no neck Cobb, but I would suggest Arthur with a neck. He wont have a jacket on, but the shirt collar will downplay what you're worried about.
