Incredible Repaint Artist....

I personally think Tonner stuff is terrible, but look at this person's repaints. Absolutely amazing! Here's a current auction....

The sculpts are there for Toby and Kirsten, but those are fantastic repaints. But the painting of the generic dolls to look like movie stars is even more impressive. His Lynda Carter is one I wouldn't mind having.

O_O!! wow. incredible. so i'm assuming those Gene dolls he paints on have no facial features other than maybe a generic nose? i mean it looks like all the eyes are flat and not molded onto the face.

No, they have fully sculpted faces, but they aren't portraits of actors, it's only the paint that brings that out.

Surprisingly yes....wouldn't get them unless I could guarantee a repaint but the talent is outstanding.

I see the customs section as people posting there own work to show others. That's why I thought it would fit better under here. Dave can move it if he wants, but he'll have to pay me first.

I remember someone posting this guys work in another thread commenting about the eyes.

Those are certainly the best painted eyes I've EVER seen.

I'd like to see some of this guy's Sideshow, Hot Toys and Medicom head repaints.

Even does some realistic hairstyles with the dolls as well! Wow...really impressive..

I would guess that making the eyes on the Tonners is easier than doing it for 12" just because you have more room to work with. But I agree they are amazing. They grab big bucks on ebay it seems.

So this proves it!!!! It's all in the paint!!! Bad paint can ruin a good sculpt and good paint can save/transform any sculpt!
