I f'n love Indian food, I'd say its at the top of my food chain with Thai. Actually just had it for Lunch yesterday... it was buffet so there was tastes of (excuse my spelling errors) Malia Kofta, Chicken Tiki Masala, Sagg Paneer, Chicken Bryani, Tandoori Chicken, that wonderful rice, freshnaan and a mango lassi to round it out.

Mmmm, now thats good eats :rock

Indian, Thai, Mexican, Greek, Japanese...* all fantastic in my book. I actually really like Dal.

*this list is extremely abbreviated. I really enjoy trying different cuisines.

A porterhouse steak and baked potato is the king of all meals.

That's what I'm talking about. It's not as fun but tastes better in my book. I do like sushi though. I really try to like all types of foods. I forced myself to like sushi. Maybe Indian food is so different than what I am used to that I will have to keep trying.

That sounds more like Pakistani food then Indian, but then again, there isn't much difference. Except, Pakistani food usually does have beef and less curry then Indian food.

Hmmm, I might actually like that better. I don't like curry I think. It tastes strange to me. I guess it should. LOL! I didn't grow up eating it. I think it's fun to try new stuff though. You also can never try it a few times and give up.

Very true. At work, my mom made some traditional Pakistani food and everybody loved it. Of course, she made two different dishes for each recipe, one spicy and one mild. :D:D

Maybe then you can answer a question for me. I have heard many people describe Indian food as spicy. When you say one spicy and one mild. Do you mean one with lots of spices and one with just a little? Or one very hot and one with not so much heat? I hear Indian food is very spicy and I like very hot food. I just don't find it to be hot. I am trying to figure out if spicy means flavorful or hot.

Here is where I have tried all of the Indian food mostly. The only exception is a trip to New York in high school. Anyways, they are supposed to have the best Indian food in our area. Check it out. https://www.passagetoindiapa.com/
Just where do you live? I've been there many times since I only live 45min from there. The foods ok but there are better restaurants in Philly, Washington and Baltimore.

It's always really strange, I think a lot of foods are interesting, and at least at work I end up being hungry for things I don't usually eat, but I'm a horribly picky person and would probably never try Indian food.

I really like pizza though.

About 10 minutes away. Just outside of the city. In Camp Hill to be exact.

That depends. I think for most people it is spicy as in 'very hot.' But the beauty of it is that it is both flavorful and spicy. It all depends on what type of Spices are used for each dish, some have more of a kick whereas others hardly have any, but they all have flavor.

Yeah I guess to different people it means different things. Let my clarify, when I say spicy I mean really hot. I am the type of guy to order the hot buffalo wings. Not the mild ones. :D I think when people told me I would love it because I like spicy maybe we are not on the same page. I like very little spices on my food. I like to keep it simple. But I do like hot sauce. I also don't like mushy looking items. From that menu I gave you what would you recommend as a starter dish?

I hear you on that, I also love spicy food as in very hot. From the menu, I'd suggest the following, only because that's what I've tried and actually liked.

Chicken Tikka Masala

Tandoori Kebab Combo

Straight from our clay oven -juicy chicken tikka, tandoori chicken, boti kebab, seekh kebab, malai kebab,

and tandoori shrimp served with soup of your choice, basmati rice, creamed lentil, naan bread and saffron

flavored rice pudding with raisins and nuts.

Chicken Biryani
Long grain saffron flavored basmati rice cooked with pieces of chicken in an array of, mild spices, topped; nuts & raisins.

GULAB JAMUN

Donut like tasting pastry balls, served with honey flavored warm syrup.

CARROT HALWA

Grated carrots cooked in milk, cottage cheese, sugar and sweet spices.

.
And anything tandoori!:rock
