I definitely think that the paint is not doing the sculpt justice. I can't wait to see what some of the master painters around here come up with when they've taken a crack at a repaint. Standing next to Mola Ram, they are going to look mighty damn impressive.

Does the crown of the hat seem a little tall?

Ok guys a few of you had PMed me asking if i had any shots of the original paint i gave Sideshow. Unfortunately i dont have a finished shot only a few mid production pics. I figured i would post one just so you can get a rough idea of the amount of detail i put into this peice.

This was before i added all the fine detailing in the eyes , scratches, and skin tones. I posted a pic of his hand on my blog as well if you want to check it out. :whip

The peach vanilla fleshtone isn't dark enough for TOD. Ironically my Mexicalli Raiders PF has the tan flesh this one is sorely lacking.

You can rationalize anyway you like but I shouldn't have to turn off the lights just to make him look darker. Conversely I shouldn't have to blast the floodlights just to make my Raiders PF look lighter. So no, it's the paint not the lights.

I was not talking about the flesh tone, I was addressing some of the peoples worries that the likeness was lost by the paint job

Only for that pic I can appreciate the great work you are doing:clap

I would have liked to see it finished. But it looked amazing :wink1:

I think ill jump onboard here, i really dont like the look of the single sankara stone in his left hand, im praying there will be a switch out left whip or revolver hand, cause that just looks weird, it looks like he is going to throw a grenade or something....

The stone in his hand makes about as much sense as his gun. Yea yea yea they took an artistic approach but it should be the whip or nothing.

I think it will be a switch out... just hope the machete hand isn't the switch out... that would be a major fail

To me, showhow Indy with no whip just doesn't seems very right. And if the Ex is the switchout hand with whip, then it will certainly make the Ex a must-have for me rather than the Regular Edition.

Sigh... just when I have recently started to order from my local retailer to save on shipping costs... looks like I may have to try to get the Ex for this PF from SSC instead.

This is the problem when Sideshow wants to have their own take on the character when it comes to the pose.
Sometimes it comes off well like the Raiders PF, but sometimes it's not the desired look that most fans want eg. Buffy in that Chair or this PF without a whip
